What I found as painful as the death of this young girl is the insincerity of the school. No one is talking about the fact that the school has lied to protect their image which makes them an untrustworthy caregiver. If you fail to admit your fault, it's unlikely you are going to review your actions

      Exactly!
I wonder how they instilled fear in the students and teachers that witnessed the scene and refused to speak the truth.
The fact that they did not tell the parents what lead to her death and made them go through rigorous stress is really sad.
May her soul rest in peace.
May the good Lord comfort the Adenirans

The school should be shutdown till eternity. Some parents are so insensitive..what if the child was yours. Apart from being negligent the school is evil by pretending not to even know what happened lying to the parents. Even the doctor tried to convince them not to do autopsy. So many guilty pple in this girl's death. That autopsy was the smartest move. My condolence to the family.

UAE, USA, UK everywhere people die. In this case it is the government fault since it is their property not the schools property. The school also had nurses around and was rushed to the hospital.
The only negligence is that the government does not take care of it property. Why else should a cable be found open around the vicinity of a sporting fan zone??

The school that can't speak the truth of what happened can't impact truthfulness nor integrity, etiquette in a child. Chrisland School has changed and it should remain closed. It is sad that the unfortunate incident happened. Lessons for better practice for other schools and institutions to take into cognisance are: 1) Proper health and safety measures should be taken where ever people are gathered. 2) First-aid trained individuals (and possibly paramedics) should always be on ground for when accidents happen because no matter how careful we are, accidents can still happen. 3) Emergency transportation must be arranged to convey serious cases to the hospital in the shortest possible time. Death is inevitable but avoidable deaths should be avoided.

Morayoe, the state govt should take over the school immediately so that the other students will be able to write their exams or complete their education. The owners can then re apply for a take over or return of the school after a minimum of one year govt take over. This will serve as a sanction to other schools.
The measure does not only appply to schools but even event managers and event halls and other Public institutions

Goodmorning Morayo. This is beyond the vendors. Not having an ambulance is not a vendor thing. Their immediate response is not a vendor. Not having a medical team is not a vendor thing. Then again closing the school mid school could be an issue for parents. In terms of paying and all that. Chris land could ask to relocate all the other children to their various schools and board them for the duration of this period. They also have to take up some responsibility and share in the pain. It’s just so painful.

Let not this case rest until all these facts are sorted out for future precautions.

Their should be someone responsible for a walk through before events like this happens . Also if you can afford employ a safety manager as a school then you should get the service of a licensed safety manager to walk through the school every now and then. It’s hurts to know the pretty girl died due to negligence on the part of the school and the school should be disciplined for this . I pray her parents finds consolation in God .

Also the school have a lot to be blamed, check the environment you’re taking your pupils to, make sure it’s safe don’t take things for granted, don’t assume all is well, engage appropriate authorities to ensure the safety of pupils, also if this happens in advance country the school authorities will be severely punished to say the least, it’s a pity, this happens I pray the there would be justice for Whitney, and the school is severely punished so it will serve as a deterrent to other schools, the school fees of Chrisland are equivalent to fees paid in private schools abroad, so why can’t Chrisland schools take safety precautions seriously for the safety of these pupils.

The extended grieving period for these parents was avoidable, why did they not tell the parents the truth?
A child was electrocuted and they casually continued with their inter house sport. Very painful and sad

The school is not supposed to be close, parents has right to ask for the reopen of the school. I believe this Whitney of a child was with some student when the incident happened . They should interrogate, ask some students questions what they saw and who was with the young lady when the incident happened and where was the incident. Can the investigators go from house to house to fine out about this? No. That she was electrocuted, was it in the field or inside the school van, or was caused by the default wiring. Tell me in Nigeria which school has an Ambulances? If she dead because of this, the electricians should be hold responsible for their careless, not the school. May the spirit of this young lady Rest In Peace Amen 🥲❤.
