I’d say in 10 years they are about 10-15k

If they're gonna be a classic, like most classic cars, they'll have to be clean, & unmolested ! Sooo, not yours. Doh !!

To all those saying the m140i will not be a classic - I say Austin Maestro.
If an Austin Maestro can do it so can an m140i. It will just take time. In fact given enough time all cars will become classics. Even some of the most ordinary cars - like a 2021 Ford Focus 1.0 will too - just like it’s forerunner has (1960’s Ford Escort 1.1).

When electric cars take over the petrol will go up and slow 💀 and then the electric cars to charge it up will go up in price and biggest worry it’s up to the owner to dispose the batteries and it’s not going to be cheap buying new ones or getting rid of them

Bought a Manual M140i 3 weeks ago and even bog standard I consistently have a grin on my face, then pop the clutch and kick the arse end out and any crap that's built up over the day just disappears and everything is right in the world. Accept the part when you look like a mental patient laughing to yourself at the traffic lights.

Without even watching the video- YES! Last RWD ICE Hot Hatch, last Inline 6 Hot Hatch. A small, RWD, big meaty engined, manual option, cheapish performance car- we will never see anything like it again!

    Future classic? No.
    There's too many about.
However, the value of them will definitely rise. Nothing comes close to how unique they are. They have their flaws without doubt, but it's that uniqueness that will be looked fondly of in a few years.
In todays car world where everything is going AWD, 4 pot 2.0, which personally is boring af, this stands out as something very different and of course with the legislation for 2030 banning ICE sales, I think they will end up being worth a fair bit. Just not a classic.
The only way they will become a classic is if enough idiots who can't handle the power through the rear wheels write enough of them off!

I think manual version will be a future classic. There are too many autos which are quite boring tbh.
