Renuka Swamy Murder Case: Everyone participated in beating Renukaswamy to death, throwing him against vehicles and walls, as caught on CCTV. An audio clip leaked online reveals a police officer discussing the case with a colleague.
The officer mentions significant pressure and influence in the case. Despite no political pressure, there was strong influence. Actor Darshan was arrested due to compelling evidence, despite resistance. Renukaswamy was severely tortured, leading to fatal injuries including groin kicks.
The attackers were drunk during the incident. The officer expects it to be tough to secure bail, possibly needing Supreme Court intervention, with no release likely for six months. Post-mortem showed injuries to Renukaswamy's throat and nose. Police describe Darshan as highly aggressive when drunk; allegedly, he assaulted Pavithra Gowda, recently discharged from RR Nagar hospital.
Afterward, four suspects surrendered to Kamakshipalya police, claiming financial fraud motive. Their statements were inconsistent, requiring separate interrogation rooms.
