Actually I'm not surprised that it can be run on NES. Original Crazy Bus was created with minimal effort for MegaDrive (judging by irredeemable soundtrack) and I would not be surprised that it could also be run on Atari 2600... wait, I already seen Desert Bus port on Atari 2600... oh, no... well, I don't want to be the one that will predict the future XD.

I totally forgot about that Atari desert bus port lol. There's a sequel for the TI-84 Plus CE calculator that looks a bit like Atari games, where you stare at a tree in the desert heat for 8 hours after crashing your bus into it, while waiting for the towing truck to arrive without dying of dehydration.

It would be quite a challenge to make the images look like anything on the Atari because there is basically no video RAM. Every line of pixels is programmed. The horizontal resolution you can get out of the background is 40 pixels or so. Try displaying a bus at 40x240 resolution :D

The fact that 2a03 has triangle wave + variable duty cycle for the square waves contrary to the PSG chip of the megadrive make the music more bearable but it's still horrible.
