Just picked up Drag the other day just to take a break from my main (Bryan). It was pretty tedious getting Bryan to Ruler...meanwhile I'm cruising through red with Dragunov with the same 5 moves, already knew 3 of them since they were already strong in 7. Db3+4 and qcf4 just makes it hella a lot easier. At this rate, my secondary will have a higher rank than my main. 🤣 Went from Dominator to closing in on Shinryu in less than 3 hours yesterday...and I've never played Dragunov outside of just trying him out, and for fun games with friends.
@@Y0kemeisterpick him up he really isnt that crazy, mostly just getting a feel for your opponents timing and the execution on combos and some moves being a bit more difficult
These guides you've done with Dragunov and Reina have been amazing. Best way of learning characters i've found so far. Would be awesome if you made one for each character :) keep it up
Took a break from learning Reina, decided to play someone drastically different. This gameplan works out pretty well, I'm holding my own without even having to combo. Just condition them to block high and then mix them up. Still trying to figure out when I'm safe to use b1+2 or when I can use df1,4 but overall this has been pretty effective.
the main thing that really made dragunov a very strong character in the current patch of the game is his absurd amount of damage, aside from that his gameplay can be learned like victor's
D2, D2, D2, D2 this dirty low will chip away dmg right away. Plus right after using it go into crouch players can just do FC1,4 Very good crouching move I see JDCR abusing like crazy since it’s natural on hit.
@@thondush are u sure? I tested it in practice mode the ai is able to hit me with both hits during FC1,4. I couldn’t block the knee once hit with the first attack. I’ll check again today. That would be odd considering that all my online opponents were being hit with it & none blocked the knee.

It's HONESTLY just practice man. I've recently started labbin iWR2 and I'm getting it like 60% of the time. I suggest doing F*FF(2). Gotta make sure that last Forward input and 2 are hit on the same frame otherwise you won't get it
@Ace_EX the last part isnt true. The 2 input needs to be at least 1 frame after the last forward input. And its not a just frame, you just need to be fast.
