In some cases, funeral tags are affixed to cars in a procession. In other cases, all cars put hazard lights on. In this case, the family chose to ride in black vehicles w/police escorts. This ensures that non-funeral vehicles don't interrupt the processional. It’s a sign of unity and reverence for the deceased.

Consider that eight siblings all have at least two children plus spouses/SIGFIGs not to mention MJ's kids, his parents and their extended family plus close friends. If you watch towards the end of the video, you'll see people getting out of the vehicles dressed in black who are not his siblings.
