Didn't know who Guy was up until a few months ago when i was watching videos of the TT. This show is amazing, great television. He's a smart man, very skilled and a great personality.
This has broken a dream. I remember having a job interview in the mid '70s with Sea Containers in their HQ on the Thames. I didn't really understand ( I don't think most people did) what 'containers' were and untill you see a pile of them in a container park and then one with the same logo being pulled by an artic lorry tractor it wouldn't necessarily click that what looks like a lorry is actually a box. I didn't get the job but it was a better time when you could answer an ad and talk your way into a one to one interview in a private room in a massive company. I think Sea Containers House is a hotel now but I might have imagined that.
@@sparky4878 Nice! I've just been looking on-line and find that Sea Containers, as a company, no longer exists. Ironically the company I ended up working for for 24 years, AIWA (UK) Ltd also no longer exists either here in Britain or in Japan. The march of progress eh?
Yeah, I work in a port and I dunno wtf kinda crap goin on there, we have giant forklifts just for the empty containers i have no clue how that was even passed
I bought a CPU fan from Ebay and it cost me 45p. It arrived 3 months later, in a well packaged padded envelope. It would have cost me more to send it to my next door neighbor.
all i'm thinking since awhile is a question which arise more often thhan not: is guy going to resume his racing soon? and will he attend the isle of wight new race for 2021.
Not to mention the fact that we're made to pay out of the ass to drive a car ''for enviromental reasons'' while massive-fuel-oil-burning containerships are giving dead fish a return trip around the world.
It has to be a good thing those underprivileged people are now becoming more prosperous and moving out of poverty at a fast rate though unfortunately to the benefit of Western companies.

That’s sad, it’s cheaper to send fish from Scotland to be filleted in China and send it back. Well that’s what happens when you have practically slave labor for hundreds of millions of people, struggling to make ends meet. I’d pay more to know it was employing people in Scotland.
I love this channel Guy, but I just need you to understand one thing. Every “EVERGREEN” container that you saw there is full of children. Let that sink in. Trafficking children. Sorry mate, but that’s the reality of it.
Every single one of us probably owns something that went through that port.
@Luke yeet lol
Nothing in my house came from China.
I wonder where your cell phone was manufactured
Nope, I don't use Apple devices.

over 122,000,000 containers being processed in that port last year (2022)
3:21 quick adjustment 😂

Yes it’s a hotel. Stayed in it once for work. Got a free upgrade on my room. Massive room over looking the river.

Guy is an awesome dude. If he likes something he really realty likes it 😃
I hope he likes himself as much as we like him.
Some say Guy is still sitting there counting containers
3:38 That forklift looks like an accident waiting to happen.
Andy Mehrts: I see what you mean.. The containers must be empty, I hope?

I wonder if there's anything decent in any of them containers
When this virus crap finally ends Guy should take a trip to the Mackinac Bridge and visit Mackinac Island.
