    I got my alpicool during COVID with my stimulus check and it still works very well.

    I bought one of these because of your review. I liked it so much that I got the 95 liter 2 bay 3&1/3 cubic ft. model that runs 24/7. I love it. Thanks!

    This is my favorite off grid channel! i have been off grid for 4 years now and barely found your channel but i wish i had found it long time ago. Around my area we have high crime rates. Do you have any videos on burglar deterants maybe some good self defense/ security tools?

      Best home defense is fences, gates, yard lights and a dog.

    Glad to see you building this channel up. I've been following you since WAY back when you first built your cabin. Keep up the great work. We have the K25 model. Have had it for about 6 months and it works really great.

    I have the bogger one of these and love it. Mine has dual zones and I use it in my van conversion. It sips power, and it works perfectly. I also have the insulated cover for it and it's worth every cent it costs.

    I just bought one on an Amazon sale. Glad to hear you had good luck with it. I'm testing it now with my 30a lifpo4 battery. Ran about a day and a half so far. It's just set for 40 degrees fahrenheit though. I'll just be using it as a refrigerator.

    I'm a truck driver, I had a much more expensive rhymes with gometic freezer. It lasted me just past the warranty. I bought a 40qt from this company because it was so cheap. My thinking was if I get 6 months it's paid for itself. 2 yrs on and it out performs in my opinion.

    Hello solar cabin, I have the cf 35 alpicool fridge that is 18 months old and works great on campouts and days at the beach. I bought mine on Amazon for 250 on a flash deal would recommend to anyone on a budget.

    40-45 watts. My tiny fridge/freezer uses 78-82 watts. I could run two of these. One Freezer. Thanks.

    Thanks for your review 👍 having to buy ice daily for my cool box in my van is getting very old. I have a 330w solar panel and 135Ah Lifepo4 so I think I should be good. I use very little power apart from a couple of led lights, phone charging and occasionally laptop charging

    • @solarcabin
      @solarcabin  2 года назад

      Yes, the Alpiccool uses 45 watts when running and only runs a few minutes each hour. It will run fine off a small system.

    Better than ARB?

      I had an ARB and it broke down after 2 years and could not get the company to help with service at all.

    Do you mean -18 celcius?

    • @solarcabin
      @solarcabin  3 года назад +1

      If you want everything frozen solid set it to -18 Celsius or 0 degrees Fahrenheit.

    How does it compare to the Dometic? Are Dometics just hugely overpriced or are they better than the Alpicool? I'm asking because I see a lot of campervan people going with the Dometic, and for the life of me, I don't know why if the Alpicool does the same thing for a monstrously lower price.

    • @solarcabin
      @solarcabin  3 года назад +2

      I have not used a Dometics but they are a big company for RV fridges. These Chinese units use that danfoss compressor design that is also used by ARB and they really are great copressors.
