Dude, sweet patina on that 60! I’m with you, let it ride as it is… shiny paint causes stress. Definitely record more so we can enjoy the journey with you.
I’m literally YouTubing how to properly remove surface rust on my new 1970 bug that is coming this Friday! Came across your video and found enjoyment on this patina! So much character and that’s what mine is too. All patina, all original, sat in a barn for 30 years with ONE owner.
Nice to see the youth excited about one of coolest cars of all time. I've owned several over my life and currently driving a 62 Bug around Big Island Hawaii. Always going to be something to work on especially for the age. Driving is what they were meant to do, Enjoy the ride!
Great video bro love the patina. I hope to have my dream vehicle a beetle or a bus soon. I’ve always loved these rides since I was a wee lad. Iconic and simple. Peace out and VW on!!
Amazing, I just picked up a 1960 myself. My bumpers are different than yours and was told mines was all original so I’m curious now if they were replaced.
3:59 am i seeing this Right? Did you put a steel line at front where the wheel is turning? You need a flexible hose there? Or are the stainless steel lines flex, they look so small to me?

That looks cool, just as it is. You can’t fake that kind of character. I’m keeping the old paint on my 62 ragtop too. 👍New subscriber
