If you want to build your own steel bike frame please text me on instagram
I will publish website really soon with all the frames that I'm building right now
Nice
Any idea what type of vice blocks are you using?
They look great.
Excellent videos, there's so much fine hardworking that goes into making a frame,it's definitely isn't easy as it looks.💯👌🏻🚴♂️
Лучший!!!!
Gran trabajo, enhorabuena.
Another question. What type of table are you using? It looks like a welding table.
Yes it is wilding table, it is flat enough to have an idea what to do with the frame to align after soldering. I find out that using simple tools that Paul Brodie show in his videos can be more precise to check the frame than alignment table)
Very nice Video thanks a lot for sharing your process! What torch is this ? Looks very small and handy?
Thanks, it is MESSER minitherm, it is pricy but this torch is comfortable to work with.
Acetylen or propane? Are you using a #0 nozzle? Congrats for your frame 😎
It is acetylene in this video and I'm using different size of nozzle for different things, #1 for bosses, №3 for soldering main tubes, it really depends on thickness of the tubes you are using. I can do whole frame with №1 if I use silver instead of brass.
What are the tube holding blocks you're using? They look like the grip a variety of shapes well. Is there any risk of crimping a tube with them?
I don't actually know where this ones come from but it is a regular vice v-blocks and it is very helpful when you need to file something or clean after soldering. for smaller diameters like chain stays or seat stays they are absolutely safe but with something like Columbus life 38 down tube you should be careful and it is much safer to use tube blocks from paragon. I have seen some of that v-blocks on amazon made by graham tools but I think it is easier to 3d print them. I found bikefabsupply have pretty cool ones for 60$
What is the purpose of BB pipe drills?
It is steel so you need vent holes at every joint to avoid rust. The second thing it is internal routing and cables pass through inside the bb.
@SashaXPLRFrameworks Thanks for reply. Suppose i do not want internal routing of cables then also holes needed? and can you supply frame to India?
It really depends on conditions you are using the bike itself, but if it is any water can come inside of the frame it all will stay in the lowest point and it is BB. So it is much better to apply frame saver solution inside the tubes and make vent holes even if you don't need internal routing. And yes I can build a frame and sand any place in the world.
