I did but at the same time i thought it was something but thought it was either related to the story, side mission or DLC. (I thought this before i beat the story so i didn't know)
PSA: You can farm this cube without even having to save and quit. All you have to do is solve the cube, teleport to sanctuary, deactivate mayhem mode, reactivate mayhem mode, and then travel back to desolation and boom you can solve it again. Easy. EDIT: You don’t need to toggle the mayhem mode. Just travel away and come back.
Joltz video was pre-patch. After the patch a week ago, this cube can be done over and over. I know because I’ve been farming it. And you need all elements in order to open it. Idk whether each element corresponds with a certain side of the cube or not. It’s just trial and error.
@@123jbuster i was able to do it about 5/6 times on my siren now the cube is cracked completely and isnt going back to how it used to be. tried going offline and other things but to no avail. are you still able to keep farming it?
@JesseRedbull kinetic, corrosive, shock, radiation, fire, cryo. I was by chance in the same area and was surprised the cube was whole again. I farmed it 3 times before I looked up what it's about lol

Sorry if this is a stupid question? What is Mayhem? I just basically play these at a slow pace, a couple hours a week, exploring and trying to eventually 100% and Platnium, but I feel they've added so much that I'm missing a bunch of stuff. Haven't event got to this part they highlight in the vid. Just now reached level 40 as the beast master, first play through.
LordDarthSmyth once you beat the game you get access to mayhem mode 1,2,3. The higher the mayhem the higher your drop rate is (500% chance for better loot on mayhem 3) but the enemies become insanely strong and they are random buff and debuffs in the there as well.
@@1a2d09 At higher mayhem levels the better the xp gain and loot. BUT enemies become bullet sponges with more health and shields. Non elemental bullets do --50% damage, you need to rely more on elemental damage as well.

I think I’ve solved the problem some of you are having... it seems to be a range problem. Even though it seems like some of the bullets/projectiles are hitting the cube they’re actually not, try changing to something like an assault rifle or sniper rifle with the Element you need.
@@Gun_Thumb I just think back to the BL2 days and am glad we even have the chance of getting a legendary (or 5 lmao) per boss kill. I remember BNK3R farming one day and getting an average of ~2 legendaries every 10 runs...so I'd say the nerf was justified
Sir Llama the problem is 't the drop rate the problem is you can't farm anything. BNK3R dropped his legendary so you farmed him for it. For 90% of the stuff in BL3 if you want it you need to farm EVERYTHING to get it.
Over 100 hours played and the game still keeps surprising me with stuff like this! I’m also still getting drops I’ve never seen before too! I usually play Destiny 2, but this game has had my full attention. I tried playing Shadowkeep and it bored me to death.
In Ascension bluff top of map there are 2 locked doors leading to what looks to be a secret boss arena trying to figure out how to open if you could check it out that would be cool

it's definitely a boss area. glitching queen made a video of her getting into it unofficially to show the area and showed that behind one of the doors is a hole you would fall into to get into the area like every other boss fight.
I did this after watching K6's video about it, and I have been able to farm it multiple times. I did it once with a friend, we left the area to do some side quests, came back to Desolations Edge and the cube was there again. So far I have been able to farm it multiple times. For me, the cube does not crack, it just disappears. Also have gotten multiple legendaries every time, Mayhem III yielding 5 legendaries from one run. EDIT: So funnily enough, I went in after commenting this to check if I could farm it again, and it actually was cracked this time. I think I was able to farm it 4 times before this happened. I'm not sure if there was a recent patch to fix it or if there is a bug that doesn't register when the cube gets "used", but definitely interesting to say the least. I was going to try to get video evidence so my claim doesn't just seem like BS, but I guess I can't anymore
@@Extremexboxplayer Farming quest rewards while the save file is set to read-only so the progress wouldn't overwrite it. Once you get the item exactly how you want it to be, you untick read-only.
Mayhem mode 2 has some high drop rates, vault bosses oftenly drop quad legendaries and I’ve even managed to get uniques and legendaries from random enemies such as badasses and even a varkid pod lol
I turned on mayhem 3 Normal, did the Ramager and got a 7 drop...4 of the were dupes i got 2 of the same shield and 2 grenade mods but still 7 is ubserd
hey joltz, there is an infinity pistol! its called Hangin' Chadd and you get it from a side quest called Swamp Bro in Eden-6 at the Reliance spawn point. its a pretty short quest. COV fire pistol that doesn't heat up very fast, for me at least

I’ve farmed this cube multiple times in a row without save quitting. I would just fast travel to sanctuary then back and it would reset. Farmed it for over a solid hour
Thanks for this. I did this then dashboard out after I collected the legendaries, when back in the game and it was back allowing me to farm it again. It only worked once then it came back broken.

( New and just found this out) You can farm this cube over and over as long as that character has NOT finished the game! Once you finish the only method is to and I'm going to make this as simple as possible there are two to get this over and over but it does have a cap. 1st is with a friend the 2nd way is to do the Eridian Arenas and you get to do it 6 times then it cracks and no more after that I believe.

I always thought the cube was peculiar, I even shot it when I seen it for the first time whilst driving my outrunner toward meeting the main quest character after doing the clapslist sidequest, I had gotten no feedback from the game so I had determined it as merely a decoration to fill the open space it occupies.
So you can repeat this somehow...I did it last night and just jumped on, the cube was rotating so tried it out and it worked. Idk if u need to reset your game once it's done or go idle on dashboard or an app (Xbox only) it did save my guns from the previous cube, so if you ever want to keep it, DO NOT SAVE QUIT!

Yo all my fellow grenade loving moze fans. I dont know where it drops because I got it at random but the grenade the hex is amazing for her grenadier style. You get to throwing those and if you have the grenade regen perk you can keep throwing then and shooting forever as long as theres an enemy. It's crazy good for her.
I got the bitch and the devoted, mayhem 3 normal vault hunter. Tons of purples including a few annointed ones, and rares. I found that investing in better drop rate chances in the hunt guardian skill tree helps your odds with this a lot.

Unrelated to video hut if you find a legendary Hyperion smg named "crossroads" KEEP IT I would bet money that it's one of the strongest guns in the game atm, love the videos man

Hey yallz. So it appears that the cube doesn’t recognize some elemental weapons as elemental. This took almost an hour and a half to figure out because each time I would get down the last side it would not recognize my shock weapon (Annexed Stoic Kot by vladof) as shock. I switched to a Maliwan gun the Terminal Pulsar and it worked fine so I would recommend using Maliwan even though it can a little harder to get the shots to land because their is a delay when the gun fires. Other than some lag and frame rate issues this was the first thing that made me say fuck this game. Other then that I’ve been having a blast. If anyone else has run into this problem with other guns lemme know. Happy vault hunting guys!
So basically...shoot it with the tsunami until all the sides light up? .3. I dont think the tsunami does radiation or cryo tho so I'll have to use different guns for those but it seems tsunami can take care of most of this

Just out of curiosity has anyone tried getting to the cube hitting your start button, Going offline, Opening the cube offline, immediately dash boarding after picking up your legendary's and restarting the game back in online mode to see if the cube is back??? Im just thinking outside the box because with the way offline mode works with reverting the game back to its previous state there could be a way to open the cube multiple times???
I think all three guns I got were utter garbage (Destructo Spinner, Superball, and Pain is Power) If anyone knows if these are actually good or not that'd be lovely.

I would recommend waiting until TVHM Mayhem 3 to do this. I received 2 annointed legendaries and a few purples. There's always RNG though.

I actually like using the Storm Front way better because it arcs onto several enemies at once electrifying everyone

I dont know how but when I do this I get the loot and then go to sanctuary and when I go back to the cube it's there again and I can keep doing it.
Joltz. I got an insane torture legendary pistol from the Troy bossfight. Idk if Troy is farmable but you should try and get it!
Oh yeah, the Oculist, it’s mint. I got a double penetrating one and it decimates.
It is farmable, you always get an occultist when you kill him tho

@@thatoneflyinghat tps is a unique borderlands game, I personally wasn't a fan of it though and I was especially disappointed when the game was drastically shorter than I anticipated
I was also quite fond of felicity and wanted to get a gun or something with her voice, instead I got disappointment.
@@thatoneflyinghat but to make what I was getting at clearer, I wouldn't consider tps a true borderlands, just as I wouldn't consider all the halo games after bungie left to be true halo games.

Hey yallz. So it appears that the cube doesn’t recognize some elemental weapons as elemental. This took almost an hour and a half to figure out because each time I would get down the last side it would not recognize my shock weapon (Annexed Stoic Kot by vladof) as shock. I switched to a Maliwan gun the Terminal Pulsar and it worked fine so I would recommend using Maliwan even though it can a little harder to get the shots to land because their is a delay when the gun fires. Other than some lag and frame rate issues this was the first thing that made me say fuck this game. Other then that I’ve been having a blast. If anyone else has run into this problem with other guns lemme know. Happy vault hunting guys!

I just had an idea.... Just out of curiosity has anyone tried getting to the cube hitting your start button, Going offline, Opening the cube offline, immediately dash boarding after picking up your legendary's and restarting the game back in online mode to see if the cube is back??? Im just thinking outside the box because with the way offline mode works with reverting the game back to its previous state there could be a way to open the cube multiple times???

I think all three guns I got were utter garbage (Destructo Spinner, Superball, and Pain is Power) If anyone knows if these are actually good or not that'd be lovely.
The superball isn't a great gun overall but it's fun to use and it's a Super Mario easter egg, I have one on my wall.
