Hi Laurie, I started watching during the pandemic because you are always so upbeat. I have always been a terrible packer, but I am getting better. Thanks so much for all of your help. I am a TX girl too.
I have the Level 8 Carry-on suitcase too and I LOVE it! It is perfect. I also bought the packing cubes made for this suitcase. I highly recommend it! I also have the double glasses case, one of the best purchases ever!
And Hey! I'm Terri from metro Atlanta. I've been watching your videos for a few weeks now as we get ready for two big trips this summer. One is a Mediterranean cruise and a trip to the UK.
Laurie, your tips have helped me tremendously. We are flying in July for a beach vacation. I can’t thank you enough for all your knowledge and great tips!! And your dog is super adorable 🐶
I started following you a few months ago when I found out I would be traveling in early May. Thank you! I hadn't flown since November 2001. You took some of my TSA anxiety away and made getting through security as easy as possible. I did find each airport handles things a bit differently but for the most part, I was prepared. I don't love backpacks but bought the one you happen to mention in this video and it was great as my personal bag for the flights. I also brought my cross-body for the rest of the trip. I think I will look into something to hold my phone around my neck when on the plane as I was so worried I'd drop it. I used packing cubes (and compression cubes) for the first time and found they were wonderful to keep things organized. I needed to have both a carry-on and a checked bag (my son is touring so I was bringing him some items and he was sending home winter items). I traveled with my daughter so the extra hands were a big help. If I travel alone, I will definitely try to keep it to just a personal and carry-on for ease of movement going up and down escalators and through airtrains. Thanks again for all your travel tips. I'm looking forward to traveling again.
Fabulous video, Laurie! Purchases I have made based on your recommendations (there are many others) that I cannot live without on daily/weekly basis include the sunglasses case(genius idea!), the mesh pouches ( have multiple sets), hanging toiletry set, tankinis (have 3), waterproof sandals, phone charger (have 2). I shopped for myself for Mother’s Day today & ordered beach cupholder, compression cube weekender, excursion shorts, and Lily “pretty” pouch. Really want to order one of your favorite tiered dresses, but no XS. 😢 You look radiant after your beach vacation! Hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day !!

I just ordered that backpack in purple 💜 for an upcoming trip. Been looking for a good backpack and once you showed it. I looked it up and ordered! Thanks Laurie for the recommendation. I'm excited to use it next week.
Love watching your channel. Started watching when we were planning a trip to Yellowstone and needed to know about airline travel. Have learned so much. Thank you and keep up the good work.
Hi Laurie. Thanks for the great travel tips. My son is a pilot so my husband and I frequently travel on standby. I really laughed in another video when you mentioned that pilots don’t change their shirts everyday. So disgusting but so true! 😄
Hi Laurie! Your tips have been helping me get my family ready for an Arctic Cruise this next month. Thank you for all the hard work you put into making these videos. Referring to your backpack, the 15.6 refers to what size laptop you can get in the backpack. It's a 15.6" screen laptop. I just bought the same backpack but in the 17" screen size so I'd have more room to pack a compression cube and some other essentials for our international trip. I hope that helps clarify the question about the backpack.
Thank you again for another great tips video. I don't know how you discover these treasures, but you do find great things. I love the reviews on what and why doesn't work. Thank you!!
Hello Laurie from North Pole, Alaska. I really appreciate your tips. I've manage to get from a large checked bad down to a mid size bag and my carry-on and still had room in suitcase to go shopping and bring things home. Keep tips coming.
Just got back from 13 days in Europe using only a carry on and backpack. From a previous video I had seen the compression bags and ordered them. I used one of them for a raincoat. Going again in a couple of months for a little longer and plan on using carry-on again. Thanks for the useful info.
Thank you Laurie .Another informative video with lots of great products. I have been watching your videos on RUclips for 2 years now in preparation for a trip to paris , France with my youngest daughter.
Hi Laurie! I found you on RUclips several months ago, and just realized I have never commented to say how much I enjoy your videos! I think it was your fave amazon travel items that I first watched and I totally went off ordering stuff LOL. I live on Kauai in Hawaii (I know, lucky me!) but our kids live on the mainland and we love Las Vegas like most islanders do, so we travel several times a year. We always check a bag when flying to the mainland, and I had already figured out some of your tips on my own but thanks to your helpful suggestions I have improved my travel efficiency and know how, especially for my carry-on for the plane. Always look forward to your new videos, mahalo!! 😎🤙
I'd bought the dual sided glasses case recommended by you for our last trip and it matches my truck as well (brown and black leather look - fit my daughter's sunglasses and mine)
That roll on sunscreen holder looks cool but is completely gimmicky to me. Lol If people don't rub in their sunblock evenly and thoroughly on top of spreading it with the ball they aren't getting the correct amount of coverage and like you said it will barely hold enough for a few days even in the Mexico sun. The regular bottles the block comes in is a safer bet so you know you're rubbing in enough. I would hate someone to use that and rub it in at the same time using the ball unevenly and getting burnt in random areas. 😅
Hi Laurie, I love all your videos and tips. I am an airline employee…and I was wondering if you have or could please do a video regarding traveling with Lithium batteries. Over the past few years there have been numerous aircraft emergency incidents regarding lithium batteries and overheating, exploding and catching fire. Especially the lithium batteries in the chargeable “Smart bags”, IPads, laptops, e-cigarettes/Vape and rechargeable battery pack.We are required to ask passengers if they are checking in any of these items…they must be carried on with the person. It is very concerning to me that so many people are unaware of the dangers of flying with lithium batteries in checked baggage. Thank you again. Hope you had a Blessed Mother’s Day.
Good morning Laurie! Can you recommend what kind of clothing to take on trip to the British Isles? We fly from Detroit to England then embark NCL for 10days of busy excursions as well. I just love your videos so much & you! Thank you for all your knowledge, time & being so adorable ❤Blessings to you!
I lived in England while my husband was studying abroad. It obviously depends on the time of year you're going, so as Laurie said, check the weather. But, I can recommend layers, good waterproof shoes, and a raincoat. Even in spring and summer, there are occasional showers and mud puddles 😊.
Great video. I am a newer subscriber from Canada. I was interested in the double glass case so I checked your link to Amazon USA. I copied the link to the Canadian site and what a price difference for the same item! It is $17 USD and $58.86 CAN! It is cheaper for me to order from the US site even with the exchange rate. Keep your tips coming- very useful.
New to your site. My sister sent me😎I’m going on a cruise this summer and a road trip o the mountains. Your shoe suggestions are perfect for me. I think we have very similar clothing styles. Thank you😍question: dresses for excursions or cruise vacations?
Questions for you Laura- this coming Thursday will be my first long flight traveling with the kids (3 and 5 yr olds) and want to be sure they eat well. My questions are: can I bring frozen soup in my checkin luggage (to quickly reheat at our destination) -does it need to be specially packed in some way? And can I bring overnight oats on the plane for their snack? Thank you 🙏🏼
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie thank you for quick reply, much appreciated! We are heading to Maui and very excited to be there for a week. I just heard no fresh veggies or fruit can be brought into Hawaii, makes sense. Might you have a video about food do and don’ts, packing, etc?
@@JoniSare Oh beautiful! Visit the chocolate factory at cocktail hour or early morning. Most foods that are solid are allowed except the produce if flying to Hawaii or internationally usually. Goldfish, chips, graham crackers, etc.
Hi Laurie, do you mind sharing what resort/ hotel you stayed at while in Cancun? My family was there a couple months ago and I would love to hear what your hotel/ resort experience was.
Hello! I’ve been binge watching your videos. They are so informative! While I’ve traveled for many years, each time I fly, I like to be as efficient as possible. You give all the hints so I don’t have to think about it. In June, we are flying from Oregon to Alberta, CAN to visit my husband’s family. Can’t decide yet whether to just carry-on or check in. We’ll be gone 7 days. Oh, we’re also flying WestJet whom I’ve never heard of before.
Laurie, Is there a travel bag out there that will hold regular size bottles of shampoo and conditioner? Thanks for all your tips! I’ve followed you now for several years and you have great advice!!
Hi Laurie! Love your vlogs. Question about the back pack do you think it would hold sandals in the bottom? A compression cube with my toiletries TSA clear bag with other essentials?
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie it’s not to big to be considered personal item? I’m doing carry in only for my cruise and need something to put some essentials in. I’m leaning towards a back pack over a shoulder bag
Hello, what happens when the flight is full and you can’t board, you wait for the next flight or you go back home? I can’t believe that after all the planning for the trip and you can’t fly that day, to me that would be the most depressing thing that could happen. I love all your videos, you are so pleasant to listen too. Thank you very much
If the flight is full, they will put you on the next flight. But usually if they oversold tickets, they buy a passenger off and put them on the next flight.
Hi, my question for you is.....bottom line, what carry on bag fits the most clothing etc. I am taking the leap to carry on only for a 9 day trip. I want to purchase a carry on that is the most efficient and will hold everything. I am new to your channel and loving your videos!
Hi, Donna. If you can make yourself only pack 2 pairs of shoes, any carry-on will be helpful. I also think the wheel quality in this one makes it my favorite for fitting the most in: bit.ly/Pink20InchCarryOn (several colors)
Hi, another question, thoughts on the level 8 20 inch Voyager carry on. I like the wide handle but not sure what travel bag could go on top but I like the look and room in the bag.
@@donnadaniel5385 Hi, my bags' strap would not fit over those, but people like the handles like that so that the handles do not take up space in that side of the suitcase.
So, I tried every single pair of sunglasses in CVS, and not a single one could fit in that double sided case. I thought, sugar cubes, I won't be able to use it for sunglasses, guess I'll need to do a double reading/distance glasses and use a separate case for sunglasses. That's a bummer. But I discovered my Zeelool "street artist" glasses fit in, and decided to get a matching pair in sunglasses (their NON-prescription sunglasses are more expensive than their prescription distance glasses, goo figure!) So, if anyone got this case and can't find sunglasses that will fit, Zeelool's "street artist" frames with sunglass lenses will fit. Plus if you wear regular glasses, you can get both regular glasses and sunglasses that match, how fun is that!
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie Those are sure a LOT cheaper than the ones I ordered from my online prescription glasses place!! Wish I'd seen them before placing my order.
Thank you Laurie! I have been watching your videos for the past several months since finding you on RUclips. So many fabulous tips and ideas for my upcoming trip to Banff, Alberta, Canada. I have several of your items in my Amazon cart. Traveling internationally for the first time. Do you have any videos or would you be doing one for hotel cleanliness and what to look for before you settle into your room? What to clean, where to store your suitcase and valuables. Some one told me to ask for clean sheets and blankets for the bed when I check in. Your thoughts would so greatly be appreciated. Thank you!!! Oh and I am terrified of going through customs. lol
Hi Diane. First of all, you will absolutely love Banff. We are not concerned that much about hotel germs. I do know to not lay your suitcase on carpet or the bed in case there are bed bugs. Use the luggage rack. Do not miss this video: bit.ly/Tips4Banff
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie Thank you Laurie! I am looking forward to my trip. Have actually hired a private guide which for me will be fabulous. Thank you also for the link to the video! 🥰
I've purchased a Clutch charger and it doesn't hold its charge. How do you like the charger that you mentioned in this video? I have an upcoming trip & will be out walking & touring so won't be near an outlet.
I talked about the clutch one not being good. Absolutely stand behind this 10000 charger. It should be linked in the first comment or right above the shirts I designed for the channel.
Hey Laurie! Love your tips and tricks. Last year when i went to mexico it was my first ingernational vacation ans you were the first youruber i watched that helped me so much and have ever since. In a couple of weeks I'm going to cancun again and am refreshing my brain with all these useful tips. One tip I learned is to bring a couple of laundry sheets of your fave scent with you to lay in your suitcase after your vacation once everything has beeb put back and rady too go to kind of keep things smelling pleasant for whej you get back and have to unpack. I usually wash everything worn or not but it just makes things smell better especially if i placed dirty or wet clothes in a tight huge ziploc bag or zipped waterproof bag to keep smells down. Lol 😅
Thanks for all these tips. If I decide to buy one of these I’ll come back to here so that you get rewarded for providing us with all this information. You mentioned Mexico. What do you think about travel to Mexico with all the stories of Cartels infiltrating the resorts. Scary. I had a chance to go to Mexico but thought it wasn’t a good idea. Might be a great video idea.
Oh hi! You are sweet but do not have to give me credit; the ads are most helpful. Happy Mother's Day! We felts very safe in Cancun-stay in the touristy areas. Thanks for the idea-
I bought the 2-sided glasses case and I had high hopes for it; however, Costa brand sunglasses will not fit. You may want to tell viewers If you have another suggestion-I’m all ears
Hi Laurie, I love your videos. Do you have any suggestions for a Mediterranean cruise? I've only been on Caribbean cruises. This will happen in October. Not sure how to pack clothes wise. Thank you.
@Travel Tips by Laurie Thank you. I love your hacks. they are always helpful. Packing for tropical weather is so much easier. I live in Colorado. I wouldn't say I am used to it though..actually I don't like it.
@@stephanieblake4618 I agree about packing for warmer weather is easier. I did rent from Mountain Threads when we landed in Denver on our way to Breck. They rent coats, pants, and authentic wool socks and efficient fleece pullovers. That was the only way I could pack in only a carry-on. Have a beautiful trip!
Have not met you yet, but have been watching your videos for a while. Don't know if you have reviewed the Reef shoes, but I see you have them. I absolutely love them! Also, have you ever used the Biaggi luggage? I have traveled w/the one that is an Underseater converting to a Carry on for a short trip. Really liked that it held everything. Will try the Carry on to Checked One on a longer international trip. Would love for you to look into them. Thanks for all your tips. A fellow Texan.
Hi! Love your channel, very helpful. I am going to Europe next year and will be gone at least 2 1/2 weeks. Are longest leg is in Rome, do the hotels have laundry service. First time going to Europe and I want to do carry on only.
Laurie, First and foremost I love the videos. I have learned a lot. This is irrelevant to this video, but I could use advice on this subject matter. I will be taking a flight for the first time in over 20 years. Would you pay for pre-screening or not?
I love your videos. They helped me greatly for preparing for the trip I am on now. Could you do a must have list for folks with common traveling problems. Basically reminding folks of need for these aids. Traveling with hearing aids, CPAP machine, canes or other mobility devices (my current visit to England included bringing a walking stick, my friend brought her cane. We don’t need these devices at home, but they became a necessity while traveling). I found local hearing aid and CPAP providers in England who are willing to assist me should I have any problems.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie Sure, I was thinking about something to remind travelers who may have trick knees, a bad hip, twangs in the back, etc, to prepare for them acting up while traveling. I don’t need a cane or walking stick at home or work, but on vacation, I need one as my knees and hips aren’t used to walking and I didn’t want to be hobbling around in pain. I also worked with a personal trainer for two months to develop strength and flexibility for the trip. I don’t need my hearing aids half the time at home. I need them all the time here. I made sure to get my hearing aids adjusted, got a backup charger, and made sure they were in good working order. Everyone sounds like their mumbling when they have an accent and I don’t have my hearing aids in. As a woman of a certain age, I just need to give extra attention to those aches and pains, do I don’t injure myself.

Thank you Laurie .Another informative video with lots of great products. I have been watching your videos on RUclips for 2 years now in preparation for a trip to paris , France with my youngest daughter.
Have a beautiful, magical trip!
Thank you we have been waiting to go on this trip, since 2020
Your tips are so helpful. Thanks a bunch for sharing.
I am so glad they help!
Have and love the sunglasses case that you showed first. Also ordered the tray table cover. Thanks for your tips.
Oh good, I hope you like them both for your next vacation!
Hi!! I’m a new subscriber and your tips are greatly appreciated!!😊
I am so glad these essentials will help!
Great video Laurie! ❤
Oh how wonderful! Glad we could help. Honeymooned on Kauai and have been there several times. In a what to do there video, I mispronounced poke lol!
Thanks Laurie. Bought a couple of things. Going on a Med -all around Italy - Greece and Croatia cruise in June. Cannot wait!
Oh how amazing!
You're the best!
Hello. Been watching your great videos for about 6 weeks now. Great information
I hope the tips and videos help.
❤❤❤
I ordered the heart wet bag! It’s so cute! Thanks
It is fantastic, sturdy and I can hose it out after vacation!
I cannot wait until you review that beautiful pink Level8 carry-on! I have one that's baby blue 💙 ❤
It’s fantastic!
Hi Laurie, I watch your videos and I love them! I want to suggest a brand of reading glasses: thin optics, great size! Thank you
I'd bought the dual sided glasses case recommended by you for our last trip and it matches my truck as well (brown and black leather look - fit my daughter's sunglasses and mine)
Oh yay! You are ready for a trip!
Right? Did you hear what all I said about it. So gimmicky.
Will do! Thanks for the travel video suggestion.
Hi Connie! That sounds amazing! I would check the weather and activities. I do have a cruise outfit ideas video.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie Thank you Laurie ❤️
I lived in England while my husband was studying abroad. It obviously depends on the time of year you're going, so as Laurie said, check the weather. But, I can recommend layers, good waterproof shoes, and a raincoat. Even in spring and summer, there are occasional showers and mud puddles 😊.
@@erinlikesacornishpasty4703 Would you live there again if you could? Thanks for your input!
Hi Laurie! We're headed to London with 4 teenagers in July. I'm getting such great ideas from your videos.
Ooh how exciting!
Hi Loria! I'm watching you from Hawaii!
Mahalo! Have some poke for me and enjoy those trade winds.
Soooo many things ❤ so little paycheck 😆😆😆😆 I still keep my passport in a cover. Easy to find 👀
You are so right about it being easy to find aka hard to lose! Great tip!
Hey! Found you a few months ago and I am really enjoying your videos!! Thanks for all you do!
Thanks Crystal!
That is so unfair!
Beach hack from Florida resident: make sure your cover up is a natural (breathable) fabric.
The humidity can make things cling where I do not want them to.
New to your site. My sister sent me😎I’m going on a cruise this summer and a road trip o the mountains. Your shoe suggestions are perfect for me. I think we have very similar clothing styles. Thank you😍question: dresses for excursions or cruise vacations?
Hi, I did show several dresses at the end of this video. Here is one I did not suggest but have as well: bit.ly/3MB1TPT
Hi! Could you do a story on adaptors and hair tools and clothes steamers in france? Thanks! Love your acct!!
Hi I do have one called Adapters or Converters. Check the voltage for France. I have not found a steamer for travel for another country.
I always wear a sun hat, but the second one you showed is a little pricey at $150!
It is! I had to mention it though since I love it too.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Hi, you can pack any type of liquids in checked luggage. For oatmeal, it's a liquid since it cannot hold its shape without a container.
Hi we stayed at Secrets the Vine all-inclusive. Very nice!
Hey Laurie! The tank top you're wearing while talking to us, where is it from? Every tank I find is way too low cut or a crop top. I love yours ❤️
Hi it’s the dress I talk about near the end of the video.
Yes, so I think that will be a 50 or 70 seater. It'll be beautiful!!
Laurie, what is the brand of your gray backpack you showed on this segment?
Hi all info is in the description box right above the shirts I designed for the channel.
Laurie, Is there a travel bag out there that will hold regular size bottles of shampoo and conditioner? Thanks for all your tips! I’ve followed you now for several years and you have great advice!!
Hi, there are many toiletry kits that hold regular sized bottles if you are checking a bag. Here is one: amzn.to/3IDmTFu
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie Thank you!
Hi Laurie! Love your vlogs. Question about the back pack do you think it would hold sandals in the bottom? A compression cube with my toiletries TSA clear bag with other essentials?
Oh most definitely!!
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie it’s not to big to be considered personal item? I’m doing carry in only for my cruise and need something to put some essentials in. I’m leaning towards a back pack over a shoulder bag
@@leeleesmith9638 Hi, you will want to check your airline's carry-on and personal item size requirements.
Hi, Jen, here are the sunglasses I have that fit: amzn.to/3Cj26DW Yay, I am glad you made it work.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie I just ordered my third double glasses case! One for my travel bag, one for my car, and one for my bugout bag.

@@TravelTipsbyLaurie Thank you. I think I'll purchase the one that you mentioned. Like that it has a high charge.
Thanks for the idea-
Re: credit card safety, how do you pay for a meal with your card and not have the server walk away with it to process the charges?????
I bought the 2-sided glasses case and I had high hopes for it; however, Costa brand sunglasses will not fit. You may want to tell viewers
If you have another suggestion-I’m all ears
Yes, the Risky Business type sunglasses that Tom Cruise wore work best.
Hi Laurie, I love your videos. Do you have any suggestions for a Mediterranean cruise? I've only been on Caribbean cruises. This will happen in October. Not sure how to pack clothes wise. Thank you.
Hi, this video may help you pack for different temperatures: bit.ly/PackFor2Climates
Hi and thanks so much! I have not worked with Biaggi before but they look great! Just check your airline's size requirements.
Hey the link to the hat clip isn’t working ( just fyi )
Thanks so much-I cannot find it either. I’ll go change it
Hi! Love your channel, very helpful. I am going to Europe next year and will be gone at least 2 1/2 weeks. Are longest leg is in Rome, do the hotels have laundry service. First time going to Europe and I want to do carry on only.
Hmmm I would ask the hotel. It’ll be wonderful!
Laurie, First and foremost I love the videos. I have learned a lot. This is irrelevant to this video, but I could use advice on this subject matter. I will be taking a flight for the first time in over 20 years. Would you pay for pre-screening or not?
Hi if I flew more than twice a year, I would. Or just stand in the regular line for 30-45 mins
When you have a carry on suitcase, and your backpack, are you still allowed to wear the belt bag also? I always wonder about that.
Hi, technically no. But only Southwest has made me remove it before boarding.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie Thank you.
Hi cathy! Could you expound on what you mean? I have a video called travel tips for hearing aids. Cpaps do not count as luggage.
@@cathybarber357 I totally understand. I wonder what people would type into the RUclips search engine that would make a video like that come up. I have this video: bit.ly/DisabilityTSALine
