You know this is something I've noticed more and more with truck drivers. 11:32 WTF is this?? Like really? More so though what I see is when , for example there are 3 lanes on a road. 2 trucks are behind eachother respectfully in the slower lane. But the lead truck is going 60 mph and the one behind it is going 61. The truck behind the lead proceeds to go into the next lane to "pass" the other one, they begin to block traffic and can cause potential accidents. Like what kind of jerk do you have to be to think that's ok? You're the two slowest and largest vehicles on the road, how is it ok for you to now block 2 of the 3 lanes???
Hardest thing in that situation is not to panic and to remember not to instinctively slam on the brakes, which is what your heart is furiously telling you to do. They did indeed handle it well.
3:55 yeah what was wrong with that clip? You got over didnt you? You’re walking/driving through the city, if 2m distance scares you, might not be your ideal promenade.

Hahahaha, @3:42 typical Frysian (Dutch region called Friesland) mentality: a car falls through the ice and they're more worried about the ice than the driver and/or the car. 🤣
i really hate those who just STOP in middle of a road, because they get butthurt over something small and then think that they have the right to put many lives in danger .. so that they can rage at that one driver. like the one who caused serious bike accident by stopping and blocking the driver he got mad at. such drivers should be put in prison for minimum of 5 years and take license away for minimum of 100 years, let them think about what they're doing. On a road with higher speed limits, people like that can literally cause several deaths, that's as good as running over people with your car, that's assault with deadly weapon .. i don't know why such people are not in jail.
3:41 Woman is saying in Frisian: well damn, the whole ice floor is broken haha. She's from Friesland, a province of the Netherlands, where people do a lot of ice skating and which is world famous for the Elfstedentocht (Eleven Cities Tour), a skating tour throughout Friesland along the eleven Frisian cities. Unfortunately, there hasn't been enough ice since 1997, so it's been 25 years since the last tour was held. But on the first day it's 1 degree below people start to fantasize about if perhaps this year... Not sure is this on the route, but ice is about holy in Friesland. That's why I understand her, but she also says it very dryly.
The town most likely came after the railroad, and on top of that if everyone is calm and reasonable, they won't mess around by a train let alone the tracks
11:17 Everyone here is wanting to see what kind of stupidity is about to unfold. Meanwhile I'm more concerned about that pole with the powerlines tilting in the background.
The truck not letting the woman pass... As a trucker myself, the only reason I'd ever even consider this is if my brakes were failing and I was going down a hill. Might be the case that he didn't want to slam into the back of you and kill you. Though in that situation I'd have my flashers on and I'd be riding both Lanes, not swerving between them. Just a thought. I have to assume the guy had a reason. As a trucker, I do a lot of things that don't make sense to others. But now when I drive, and I see trucks doing odd things, I usually know why and let them be. How many times have I been cursed out for taking the other lane (or two if I'm downtown somewhere) to make a right hander, or had to force my way over to prevent an accident at a merge area. Or had to crawl over a crest at 35 in a 70 because there's an 8% grade for 6 miles, and I'm at 77k lbs. My point is that it's best to just give a truck space when they're doin something and you have no idea why. He could have just been a dick. But even if that were true, do you really want to find out how far that kind of crazy goes? And if it IS the case that his brakes failed, you could end up getting driven through, or even end up causing him to swerve off and die, or kill someone else. You never know. These vehicles aren't as capable as they seem. You have to think, your car weighs around 2500lbs - 5000lbs. The truck with no trailer weighs around 25k lbs. The transmissions are slow, and the margin for error is much tighter. There are times when the vehicle is on the edge of performance, just twisting down a small stretch of highway in the hills (it shouldn't be, but how many trucks do you see take 55mph corners at 70? My last job was even telling me I was "driving too slow"). I'm not saying this dude was in the right or wrong, but if you ever see a truck do this, pleas keep a col head, back off, and if necessary call the police. NEVER try to hurry passed, and definitely don't pass a truck in any situation and then slow down and cruise in front of it. PSA/rant over lol.
^^^^THIS!!^^^^ Exceedingly well said. The law of gross tonnage means that car vs truck will only go one way. Pull off, chill out, check your email, call 911 on him, whatever, then get back on the road calmly.
The woman was also too impatient. She could have driven behind him and leave the highway then or take some other street. Many drivers have the problem to be impatient

If you pause right at about 6:34, when the pickup is just starting to turn, you can see the very top of the frame of the car that hits it appear in the left lane of oncoming traffic, right next to the silver SUV or whatever is third in the right lane (first being the one mid-intersection at that point). at 4:55 the idiot was rather the guy who decided to park his car right in front of that leaning tree. He put his car in danger and more important might be delaying the workers who might try to save or at least savely remove that tree.
"he's going to kill me" Umm, no. He's being an aggressive asshole. But so many of these are the result of two drivers both making bad choices. Trying to pass an aggressive semi is a bad idea. Don't

Being "wreckless" means not having any wrecks. This is a good thing. Perhaps you mean "reckless"? The car driver seems more than a bit reckless herself. Why is she so incredibly fixated on passing? Looks like hilly terrain, the trucker might be worried letting her pass could turn her into an obstacle when he/she needs to gsther momentum for the next uphill section. If the truck is closing back in her and another car is passing, the trucker will have to brake and possibly not make it up the next uphill due to lost momentum. Or the trucker might just be a jerk. But the lead truck is going 60 mph and the one behind it is going 61. The truck behind the lead proceeds to go into the next lane to "pass" the other one, they begin to block traffic and can cause potential accidents. such drivers should be put in prison for minimum of 5 years and take license away for minimum of 100 years, let them think about what they're doing. On a road with higher speed limits, people like that can literally cause several deaths, that's as good as running over people with your car, that's assault with deadly weapon .. i don't know why such people are not in jail.

@4:50 ahhh the joys of living on dutch swampland where trees arnt solid in the ground ^_^

6:35 - where did that car even come from?? The car you can see is visibly stopping, then the silver truck occludes the oncoming traffic lane, and suddenly a new oncoming car just appears OUT OF NOWHERE? It literally looks like a bad editing job, I've replayed it 20 times and cannot tell where that car that hits the truck came from.
If you pause right at about 6:34, when the pickup is just starting to turn, you can see the very top of the frame of the car that hits it appear in the left lane of oncoming traffic, right next to the silver SUV or whatever is third in the right lane (first being the one mid-intersection at that point).
