Saw this just now, it’s very funny because this video was recorded when I was there working as an entertainer, in fact at some point I heard one of my colleagues talk, and the part where you see those people dancing at the pool, well it’s us and I can see myself too😂
There are a lot of bars and restaurants in the hotel. The hotel itself is secluded so if you want to explore you need to rent a car or buy a trip there are travel agency near the reception. I recommend trip to Kefalonia or Zakynthos 😉 If you want to buy souvenirs you can go here it's outside hotel but not that far maps.app.goo.gl/fdToCYiQRug6UtZ58
@@jamessketcher you already had an answer but as a former worker for Aldemar I can give you some infos too! As Adam said it’s plenty of bars and restaurants INSIDE the hotel, to be more specific from what I know, you have access for free to 2 restaurants which should be “Sympossio” and “Ambrosia” and you don’t need reservation to go, they are self service restaurants but have kind of every type of food..outside the hotel there is pretty much nothing but I can tell you that there is a good “Taverna” just outside, there are 2 actually but I reccomend you the second one, a little bit farer than the first one you’ll see (2 minutes walk..) and it’s called “Fotis”, they make very good Pita kebabs and drinks, and always there there is a nice open pub where local bands go play sometimes at night, if you want to explore a little bit without going too far I would say the best options are to go to Pyrgos (nearest city) which is a little city where you can find restaurants, bars, discos and pretty much everything you could need, or Katakolo, which is a port city where they cook very good fish in my opinion, regarding activities in the hotel there is an animation team ready to propose to you many kinds of activities for tourists, sports, fitness, there is mini club if you have kids and you can leave them there where they will meet other kids and have a lot of fun, and at night they have shows, comedy shows, variety shows (music, dancing and shetches), if you don’t want to go see the animation team show there will always be singers or performers coming to the main Pool bar at night!
As for the standard of hotels, it varies depending on the country you go to. When going on vacation to Greece, you should keep in mind that in this country the standard of hotels is inflated by one star so I would not choose anything below 5 stars. Regarding the cleanliness of the rooms, it probably depends on which room you end up in. Moreover the Aldemar offers two additional restaurants during a week long stay: La Pergola with Italian cuisine and Abeliona with Greek cuisine. We chose La Pergola and the food was really delicious 10/10
