Love that bit of coastal path. A few of my mates invited me to join them on a kayak trip to the bothy but I couldn't make it. Turns out they went and got weather bound. They ended up carrying their kayaks up that path to the top to get home. Dodged a bullet there I reckon. Great footage with good weather too. Really enjoyed that.
@@StephenJReid yes many times you would really have to pick your times to sup the north coast I have actually paddled with a guy along the north coast down to Donaghadee who was doing circumnavigation of Ireland. The best person in this are to speak to is a guy called Robin Ruddock he is the font of all knowledge in this area and also spearheaded the restoration of the portmoon bothy.
The North Antrim Coast Path is my favourite walk outside of the Mournes. Grrrr those pesky gulls, once had a pair of them chase my drone at castlewellan
@@StephenJReid lol yeah If you have a DJI FPV. I had to do an emergency landing. But apparently you’re meant to do the opposite and get more height to get dominance
What a beautiful place. I hate that problem of nice places being too busy to film. It's also a pain when they are closed. I was filming a canal virtual run to Bath last year and a section of it was closed off (some work being done to the path) but I ended up jumping over and squeezing through the fence to continue filming the run! When I edited it, I just took the clips before and after and did a disolve transition - it didn't come out too badly considering! There is a cliff that makes me anxious at the top of Cheddar Gorge, it's about 200m vertical drop to the road below!
Thanks! Yeah that’s why I shoot most of my outdoors videos during the week when places are not busy. Haha, I may have done similar in the past, fences won’t stop us!! 😂😂
Torr Head, just south of where you did this video, is one of my favorite places. If you get a chance to run there, please do a video. Thanks for all of your videos along the great coastline.
Watching a perfect video at the end of the day , right before a good night sleep : )... editing this comment after 3 mins into the video .. Gonna watch alll the videos I've missed iin the past few weeks, forget sleep hahaahah , Just GREAT GREAT VIDEOS
Great video Stephen I am doing a run from Ballintoy to Portrush in April and was searching for what the route is like and came across this. The cliff trails look like I need a few brave pills with me
Thanks! I love what you can do with that focal length. Beast of a lens to carry on a long hike though. Dragged it up a mountain for sunrise last week. Got some incredible stuff
In the Ulster Cycle Dunseverick Castle is the Seat of Conall Cernach leader of the Red Branch Knights half brother of Cú Chullain. In the 5th century Dunseverick was the seat of the Kingdom of Dalriada which invaded Pictland bringing their language culture and religion to Pictland. The Kings of Scotland trace their lineage back to Dalriada as do the highlanders though some highland clans are of French origin
So fantastic!!! Love these videos. You should have your channel broken up in different names. Running Rant, Drone 4k music video, Blog, etc. Right now, I do not know how each video will be until I watch part of it. Like BLOG: Cliff Path. Same channel, but title DRONE 4K: Cliff Path. That way the cool drone video will show up for people just looking for the video, while others can enjoy your Blog. Joe Scott has 2 channels...1 for her science and the other for this BLOG. (Joe Scott - TMI).
Thanks! Glad you enjoy the videos! 🙂 I do use playlists to manage the type of footage. Have thought about colour coding the thumbnails somehow. Problem with adding words to start of titles is that it messes with search. I don’t think I’d ever split the channel as it’s not a FT job and I have enough trouble keeping with with managing everything on just one.
Brilliant video, love this part of the country. What drone did you use the footage is brilliant on both the drone and the handheld! (edit; just looked at the description 😅)
I always enjoy seeing you show off places, is your drone footage at a different fps? Tele lenses are great for b-roll and sigma is pretty great value I've found!
Super stuff! I need a half decent tripod, something that isn't going to blow over in the wind and gets to a half decent height. Any recommendations around £100 -130 mark
Gorgeous spot, I did out and back from the Causeway to the beach at Whitepark, about 14 miles on Friday evening....wonderful.
Amazing route 🙂
So very beautiful out there thanks for showing us, looks amazing
You're welcome! 🙂
Love that sequence of drone shots near the end 😍
😁😁😬
Wow, beautiful video, Stephen! Awesome work!
Thanks! 🙂
Fantastic as always. Thanks for sharing, Stephen!

Oh yikes, yeah it’s an unpredictable bit of coastline!
Very pleasant way to spend a Sunday morning living vicariously through your video! Thanks for not falling down the cliff trail!
You’re welcome Steve. 🙂 Ironically I shot this back in February and now today it’s pouring with rain and miserable outside 😂
Love your work and the Tardis, Stephen! I watch and like everything you do.
Much appreciated Steve & Will! Haha, Tardis snuck in there 😂
Love the little Doctor Who reference and Tardis sound you sneaked in there. 👍🏽
😁😁😁😁
Stephen absolutely loved that!! As someone who walks kayaks and bikes a lot around our lovely wee Country totally appreciate what your doing 💕
Thanks Cathal! 🙂 Have you kayaked along that stretch? Been debating getting a SUP this year for doing a bit of exploring

Used this song for a walk though the park w wife and daughter. Good choice!
So you’ve an epidemic sound account then? 😁
I HATE it when councils close places and tell no one!!!! Ahhhhh!
Great views! Superb photography!
I’ve had this happen so many times recently! Wish there was some way they could update Google maps with a big “closed” sign 😂

Never noticed that small stone house at 1.16 either Stephen. Nice video - I was blown away by this cliff walk a couple of years back :)
Epic location! Got to go back with my FPV drone now 😁
@@StephenJReid That will be class. I loved the overhead shots (camera facing straight down) in this one !
Inside the castle looks like it could be a nice little wild camping spot!
Until the crumbling walls fell on you 😂
Smashing scenery & views Stephen, good to see you taking in the views you'd normally miss while running 👍🏃
Sometimes it worthwhile to run very slowly 😂

Why is the exposure flickering so much on the video from pocket 2?
Auto exposure, direct sunlight.
