We've had great horned owls living in our large 100+ year old trees in Point Loma for the 36 years we've lived here. They serenade us each evening and morning. Over the years I've captured some great photos. At times the pair will sit in a blue cedar near our front door, only 10' up. They pay no attention to us snapping away. Very regal birds they are and they seem to do just fine in the big city.
