  • Bryan reviews the latest Planet of the Apes movie. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is directed by Maze Runner trilogy director, Wes Ball, but can he pull off the unenviable task of making a film that is a worthy sequel to the Matt Reeves/Rupert Wyatt trilogy of Rise, Dawn and War?

I love this film, Wes Ball did a great job expanding on that world that Matt Reeves crafted so well and the fan service with showing elements from the 1968 was awesome.

More Proximus would have been nice as he was such a great character. The movie turned out to be a great time and Im so down for a Noa trilogy

Was a very entertaining film. What they're able to do with modern tech is so impressive. The only real gripe I had with the film was the during the 3rd act with the main human character. I remember for a moment just saying in silence "wtf..nooo, that wouldn't work". And this film has no pacing issues, i blame tik tok for "pacing issues" 😅

Nice review Bryan. I really enjoyed the movie myself. Some really deep themes in this one for sure that can probably be interpreted differently depending on your personal beliefs. As a fellow Christian I could see a message of how important it is to let the teachings of Christ for example to not be forgotten or how such teachings can be twisted and dangerous in the wrong hands.
Aside from the deeper themes I just thought the film was entertaining with good character development and action. Looking forward to the next.
Hey just an idea for a future 31 on 31. Since you guys haven’t done Planet Of the Apes yet how about a 31 on 31 with the title Monkey Business 🤪It could included all the Planet Of The Apes movies, all the King Kong movies, some various ones like Link and Monkey Shines and maybe a few of the more modern Tarzan films to round it out. What do u think?

Slow, boring and with no real storyline. Save your money
