Welcome to Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai! Join Shizuka on a tour of the new shopping facility that opened just this year, blending traditional and modern Japan and offering possibly every food that you might want to try during your Japan visit, all at one location in Tokyo.
Sitting just across from Toyosu Fish Market - which became the largest fish market in the world after making its move from Tsukiji in 2018 - this Edo-period-inspired facility is meant to further retain and develop the tastes and excitement that Tsukiji Fish Market’s outer area offered!
Explore the gourmet food hall and food stalls with Shizuka, as she tries everything from sushi, skewers, and a juicy maguro, to sake, tamagoyaki and egg-flavored ice cream, created by vendors from across Japan!

One of the best things about visiting these kinds of food malls in Japan is just exploring what's around the next corner. It's like an adventure.
It really is!
me myself has a bit of mixed feelings on the food malls, i find they are a bit too touristy and prices thereby, i prefer the side streets.
Some of the best food i had was from really weird shabby places that ended up being absolutely amazing, and you wont find them on most places to visit, as it doesnt fit the estetic most wanna show.

One of the great things about Tokyo is the night view from many locations. I love Odaiba, Toyosu is awesome, Haneda viewing deck, Rainbow bridge etc.Something even more special is when it rains, if you can be under cover somewhere.Dangling your feet after a long day in a hot water feature with a drink of your liking looking at that view, man, what else trumps this.

I'm so lucky that I went there just a week after it opened. Some shops are not yet fully opened but I still got to eat lots of yummy food (like the ones that you tried!). Will definitely come back here!

Aww last autumn I was looking at the outside of Senkyaku Banrai when seeing the tuna auction, and wondering what was inside, but it wasn’t open yet! Toyosu definitely could use an attraction like this! 🤤

I will visit Japan for the 4th time in March 2025, and I was undecided if I should visit Senkyaku Banrai (I love Tsukiji outer market, for its food, history and ambience, but it has become to busy for me) or not. Now I know that I want to go there, and also enjoy the footh bath.

Yes, Shizuka needs to get walking -- after that food festival. So adorable, as always! My wife and I tried out some of the places on our visit in December 2023 (my 8th trip to that lovely country!) that Shizuka mentioned in some of her other videos. We need to return to Japan again! 😍

I don’t think I would have turned down that huge grilled scallop, looks extremely delicious.Yum sake. The counter lady was watching you carefully to see if you were going to drop the rice bowl on the floor and not 1 drop landed on the floor. Salmon only for me. Yummy and delicious egg ice cream, definitely winner for me. Absolutely Outstanding

miss tsukiji fish market... its got the history and nostaglic feel that Toyosu doesnt have.. but Tsukji needed a new major renovation and modernization..glad it still got the outside markets and businesses that still worth a visit. the tuna burger looks like the best eat and value! glad to see a bath onsen there.. there used to be in Odaiba, Odaiba Ōedo-Onsen Monogatari... its no longer there now.

The producers of Japan by Food have decided to get Shizuka a n assistant dog in particular either a Great Dane or an Irish Wolf hound which will help our host finish off all those tasty foods she loves to try and cannot be expected to finish. Because either dog chosen will be taller than her, she will have the option to ride on its back when she is tired. No alcoholic beverages will be shared with the animal as Shizuka always has room for them. She will make Mary Poppins alias Julie Andrews very proud!
She might not have an assistant dog, but there are many assistants on the set that are willing to help her finish the food :P
