      The one for when I'm talking ir the one for the solutions?

  • @joek511
    @joek511 Год назад +1

    When you use sulfamic you don't' need sulfuric. It converts to sulfuric when reacting with the nitric. If the solution is hot you will not see any perspiration, as the salts are soluble in a hot solution. It must be a cold solution. Let it cool or add ice then add sulfuric or sulfamic. That's why your first filtration was dirty. The solution was cooling down in the vacuum flask and the salts were dropping out

      I didn't have a very vigorous reaction so I figured I'd add a little just in case

    so your using nitric to rid the base metals? copper and silver.

    • @SilverStoll

      Exactly. The gold won't be touched by the nitric.

    No need for sulfuric acid when using sulfamic acid but liking your progress

      The reaction wasn't as vigorous as I was thinking so I through some in as back up lol

    The Brown stuff is rust. Leave the aluminium out of your nitric solution.

      OK will do. I was curious if that was silver solder on top but I don't think it was.
