  • Ever wonder how storm chasers know where to go?
Here in Oklahoma, we take weather seriously. If a 7-day outlook says there is a chance of storms, you better start paying attention. We wondered how they were able to make these severe weather forecasts so far in advance, so we visited the Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma to find out.
We learned about observational weather data, models, watches, warnings, and the four ingredients for severe weather - moisture, lift, instability, and shear.
These forecasts save lives and help keep people safe.
