I’m Italian and my man is Puerto Rican! He’s spending Christmas Eve with us and in our culture we eat the feast of the seven fishes for Xmas annnnd we decided together to make salted fish with these to bring. We’re so excited for my family to try it! First time I had it I was hoooooked. And now I’m making it for my family! These are so simple and your directions are perfect! Thanks so much for this! 🥰🇮🇹🇵🇷
Sand!!!! I love how easy you explain everything. It makes cooking fun. When I tell my kids you uploaded a new video they always want to try it. Thank you for all you do.
I'm a white girl who married into a Puerto Rican family. My husband was born in Ponce but raised in the states. My husband was raised on what he called "dumplinos." My mother-in-law tried to show me how to make these but I've never had a written recipe with measurements. I'm so happy to find this video!!
Omg! Thank you. My dad use to make domplines all the time. Since he passed I have not eaten then because I never learned how to make them. God Bless you. Cannot wait to try it.
You 👏 need 👏to👏 make👏a👏 cookbook! Your recipes are the only ones I have found that taste JUST like my grandmother used to make. Seriously, I love you! You’re amazing! ❤️
Amigita Aida ❣tengo un truquito Ponceño🇵🇷 (not really, i made it up 😁 but its good) ok la mantequilla la pones en el freezer, cuando este vien dura la guayas con un guayo. A cheese grater, that makes medium-size shreds not the ones that makes paste like the garlic one or the one for the paste of pasteles (hope im making sense lol) anyways using the butter shreds its much easier to distribute and easier on your hands, you know for the elderly or if you have carpal tunnel, arthritis. Sorry my writing in spanish is not that great😔 but i sure can talk up a storm in spanish 😂🤣 hahhah. Thank you for sharing big xo
I love your recipes. You are wonderful cook thank you you thank you 🎉🎉🎉. Puerto Rican to another Puerto Rican. You’re amazing. God bless. ❤ I follow all your recipes amazing.

I thank God that I came across your cooking channel because my mother never wanted to show me how to cook and how to make the great dishes that puerto ricans do during the holidays. God bless you your family and your channel. Stay safe from covid I am praying for you and your family so the Lord can protect you all. Take care
You'll probably live to 100, now day people are cooking with Canola Oil which is Machine oil and takes approximately two years for your body to expel one helping......Viva!!
Thanks a lot!!! I was looking for this recipe, I remember that my abuelita made this recipe and also served it with an Asopao. Greetings from New York a Puerto Rican born and raised in San Juan. Thanks a lot for this recipe!!!🙏❤
Thank you for the flashback memories of my grandma and my mother’s quick lunch. Domplines, habichuelas guisadas y bacalao frito. Yum yum 😋 😋😋… Bendiciones y un abrazo Ponceño..
YAY!!! I've been searching all over for this recipe and could never find it, thank you!!! My husband says he uses to enjoy these with powdered sugar sprinkled on top and hasn't had them since he was a child, I'm going to surprise him with these 🤗
My mom does not like the fact that I watch your videos because I want to try everything you make 😂😂 I love your videos!! Keep up the amazing work! Te amo❤️
Yo soy mexicana y aprendí a hacer arepas con bacalao y habichuela con patita.el ya no está. Pero continuó con la tradición con mis nietos para que aprendan las tradiciones de abuelo.
you remind me so much of being 10 in my best friend maria's mom's kitchen...you cook just like mama Carmen ! I live in NC now and they are home in CT so I make your recipes and feel like I am home...thank you so much :)
thank you for your dumplines recipe from Puerto Rico, my mom does them as well and it's exactly like yours sending blessings your way from the Bronx thalia.
Also, a few years ago I took my husband to Puerto Rico and one of the restaurants added coconut milk to the recipe, it was Soo good , my kids love them that way too.
I made these last night with my stewed beans & it came out perfect!! Ill forever appreciate you and your channel ! I’ve been doing your recipes for years and they’re all so DELICIOUS
i just found your channel and i just wanted to say THANK YOU! unfortunately, all of the cooks on the puerto rican side of my family passed away when i was young so i was never able to learn from them, so i'm so glad to be able to watch your videos now! i'm actually going to make tembleque for my family for the first time this christmas and i can't wait to incorporate more recipes into our traditions! x
Hi SANDY!! I just have to tell you how much I enjoy your videos. You make everything seem so simple and clear . Much blessings to you!!! Un fuerte abrazo desde Orlando Florida 🙏🏼
Oh my goodness, when I was a child my first floor neighbor, he use to come out from his apartment with a plate of this. My mother and I would eat it and gobble it up...well maybe I gobbled it up. I never knew exactly what it was called but I knew I loved it. He's no longer with us and I never got to ask him what it was. Now because of your channel, I can make them and relive the memory. Thank you Aida...I'm going to make this for my mom and I with the stew beans yummy!
I’ve never seen these before? My mother made “tortas” but they weren’t anything like those! As far as as I remember, she would mix egg, milk ,corn meal, flour and sugar together and I think she added a little melted butter. The batter was liguidy and she would drop a big tablespoon full into the hot fat. They looked the the ones in your video and they tasted heavenly! Sometimes we would have them with fried eggs for breakfast! She called them tortas! So now I don’t know what to think!
Same with my mom, she calls them tortitas and it would look after incorporating all the ingredients like pancake batter and same with the process you said
Thank you for sharing this recipe I have been searching for this recipe for years. My Tia use to make this fried bread when I was a little girl it is so delicious especially with the beans. I can't wait to make it for my kids!!! Unfortunately, I have to use gluten free flour I'm gluten intolerant hope it comes out the same. Thank you again God bless you:)
You don't have to let the dough rest after kneading? Have you tried it. My mother made them when I was a kid she died with all her good recipes. R.I.P. mom
Can you fill it with cheese and meat or No??? I would like to make them ... I love all your dishes I’ve done many and my pernil came out amazing thanks for that ... not that I don’t know how to make it but I thought I’d do your recipe this time and we loved it;) thanks a much god bless
Question? So I'm not sure but can u add a little fine cornmeal to this mix bc I remember something like this when I was younger. Or is that another type of domplines, besides sorullitos which I know or could it have been a personal touch from the lady I remember that made these?
Love arepas and I'm looking forward to trying them this way. Abuela made them and the ingredients are the same, but she made them with a batter instead of dough, this looks less messy... I wonder, can you make the dough ahead and save it to cook later?
i tried this recipe and everything came out just like how u instructed it to up until the end. idk why but my dumplines came out crunchy instead of soft. why do you think that is?
Nice
No dejas que “duerma” la masa? Gracias por el video!

Maybe too little water or you fried them on low heat and they absorbed too much oil
En mi familia les llamamos frititas
Mine turned out too soft and breaking apart. Is it because i used self rising flour
Could be.
