He was a sensitive creative soul that got pulled into the vacuous world of celebrity and he obviously had problems that could not be resolved through material success. And we can't deny the trappings of drugs took him down a dark path
His mother seems now to be so proud of her son, but when he was little She didn't want him. How come a mother would be okay knowing your son is God knows where and with who. In the montage of heck documentary, Kurt tells how he lived with everyone but his mother and at the end, he ended up living with her but because nobody else want him and he also claimed She was pissed.
Kurt and I were the same generation - he a year old than myself. Being turfed out/abandonded by our parents seems to be something many in our particular generation share in common, sadly. My mother left me when I was just 17 years old - never cared where I was or who I was with. I can relate a great deal to Kurt - it was tough growing up for lots of us at that time. I'm sad for him that it took such a toll.
