@@beetlejews Has to be one of Sterns best interviews. It stuns me here I am age 59 and alive and this while group but one has passed. This life is not fair. Thanks for responding.
@@dennisolsosn9321I just heard it for the first time today! It's so good the first few minutes he seems maybe a little nervous but when he starts getting howard and Robin laughing I think it settled him down and the rest of the interview was unbelievable hearing him talking about trying to park JLHs car and needing notes he was just hilarious. It's not often a guest has the whole group laughing like that and that says a lot.
It was always a pleasure working with him, he was always the peace maker and always the one to make you feel as if you knew him all your life. He will be missed. He was a music prodigy and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. My condolences, May God rest his soul and may the heavens welcome him with open arms.... RIP Rich and thank you for being a friend!!!!!!!!
did too, one of the best! didn't know he was from Boston, thought he was from Orlando like the BSB.. real sad what happened to them and what Lou Pearlman did too. think the video was shot where they did summer girls,
I met him once as a young teen, and he was so sweet and so sincere and still to this day one of the nicest people I have had the privilege to meet. They say only the good die Young, and I truly believe that.
We used to e-mail back and forth during my treatments. He was so nice, but you could feel the frustration. You don't recognize yourself in the mirror anymore. He was joking around about these sheets his mom got him with his face on them once. It was really funny, but you also felt the heartbreak because the picture was him healthy. We could try to make the best of it, but I can remember vividly moving into my parents house and passing my picture of when I was healthy on the piano. I wanted to be her again knowing what I know now. He just wanted that moment back so badly.....(Nothing like cancer to bring a punk rock girl and a hip hop guy onto the sane plain.)
Rich and I dated briefly and long distance when he was in the middle of treatment. We were in touch for years and always on and off, we were kind of those two people who were never in the same place at the same time long enough. He used to joke “you’re the girl I’m gonna marry one day ya know” (I’m sure he said that to many, but I hold it close still) and I was so busy just living my life, young and free and used think we’d get together properly when the time was right. I still remember when we last talked and he said “things ain’t going so well girl.” And I was young and naive and said “aww don’t say that, you’ll be fine baby”. Not long after he was gone. Broke my heart. Still does.
I was in CT doing interviews with comedians for a local showcase. When I saw a familiar face in the crowd. This was just about at the time Summertime Girls was playing nonstop on MTV. I went over and introduced myself, he was one of the nicest, kindest people in the public eye I ever met. We talked about music and his influences in hip hop and it turned out he was a big fan of comedy. RIP Rich continue to make music up there with the angels......
Reading about Rich's death brought me to look into his solo career. I had no idea that he possessed this much talent. This song is programmed in my workout playlist. It's inspiring to see someone in his thirties be able to reflect on his music career and life so honestly. I'll be listening to this song for years to come.
I sure do miss you Rich. We had our ups and downs over the years, but I'm so thankful that we were closer than ever when you passed. I will never forget you or all the great memories I have of you. I still listen to your music and think of you often. I'll see you again one day. I love you.
No, I'm not the girl in the video and no, Rich and I didn't date. But we were friends for many years. We had disagreements, like any friends, but mended bridges just before he passed. Turned out most of it was just a misunderstanding. He was a sweet and funny guy. He is missed greatly.
i would really like to see this song get some national air play Rich deserved to see it happen when he was still with us. the least we could do is get it out there now
RIP today marks the first time in my life that I have ever given a shit about a singer/celebrity dying. With tears in my eyes.. the proud forever teeny bopper in me will be wearing Abercrombie &Fitch and listening to LFO and Rich Cronin today! Rest in Peace to an outstanding talented man that I have had the pleasure of meeting, and seeing perform. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and fans world wide.
I really liked this. I discovered Rich Cronin from a compilation of musicians had passed on, then I Googled him then clicked onto this vid. This young man should still be with us. It's so sad that he is gone.
Rich Cronin, he was my favorite singer, while Iam listening every other time song, tears rolling down on my chicks. May his departed soul rest in peace in heaven.
He sang this during the LFO concert in Buffalo a few days ago. He sounded really good, and it was just as good with Devin doing the backups instead of that girl. It's amazing that he went right back to doing what he loves doing even after all he's been through. Stay strong, Rich!
I still remember the day we met. I laugh when I think about our conversation while walking through the drug store to find you razors. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you. My heart still hurts and you have a piece of it with you in heaven ❤️ I miss you
What an amazing human being this kid was. Something so special about him...He always kept it real. His family should be so proud of him, I'm sure they are an amazing family to raise such a kind hearted person. So down to earth. Now up in heaven. The Story of His Life. I bet he's already written songs about what heavens' like. Truly an inspiration. May you rest in peace Rich Cronin. God bless you and your family.
He actually did write a song about what heaven is like. It was released shortly after he passed. It's called "It Only Gets Better". ruclips.net/video/TtZmeD6grvc/видео.html
I didn't know of Rich until today after I watched The Boy Band Con. Looked up his Stern interview. Seemed like a nice guy. He was fortunate in some ways and not in others. Very fortunate to have had a opportunity to get fame doing what he loved, even of he got scammed. The health problems are such a shame. Nothing you can d. I likebthe song, not because I like this kind of music, but because it has such a powerful meaning behind it. Sings with meaning are always interesting to me.
Damn, I knew that was the boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ before I saw the word painted on the wall. I spent lots of time there in the summer during the 90's. RIP Rich-- good song.
he really did! remember LFO but didn't pay any attention to them. (was in middle school when they came out.) real messed up situation with Lou Pearlman, lol at when he said he went back to his job at blockbuster and they played summer girls and how the customers would recognize him etc. very nice and fun man, wish things had been better for him and LFO.
No, Rich was from Kingston, MA. (we all just say Boston though since it is so close, I grew up in Brookline by Fenway Park) I am not positive, but I seem to recall reading somewhere that he is buried in Plymouth, Ma.
