Yeah, I really don’t understand this either. I could understand getting them each like four gifts but why they have to fit into a specific category is kind of odd to me. I could understand a toothbrush, being a stocking stuffer because I add that to my kids stockings as well but as a gift? Why not get them each 4 FUN things? The 4 year old girl just getting a Crayola set and paper made me kind of sad. I have a 4yr old son and a 5yr old daughter and I know how excited they get over hot wheels, Spider-Man, LOL dolls, Barbie’s, baby dolls etc… so I can’t imagine just gifting my children with just a coloring set especially if I had the money to get my other kids kindles. Also I’m sure there was something else her 12 1/2 year old son would of wanted other then a few cheap painting kits. As a mom of four this video made me sad. If this was a money issue, then I would never judge and I would totally understand but seeing that she got some kid kindles and then just a small little art set for others seems unfair. Also even if the kids are doing a gift exchange, I still think the 4 gifts from the parents could of been a lot better.
Maybe they could have spent less on the older child that has a baby and her partner. They got cooking things and a camera. The 4 year old could have got something more fun with some of there budget a toothbrush and felt tip pens seems a bit lame

It’s her kids. And kids don’t always need toys! Remember they have grandparents, aunts and uncles and more to buy them toys. What’s wrong with a tooth brush? Kids don’t need tons of toys! They just don’t. That just teaches greed. a few gifts is plenty. And how do you know what her kids wanted? Do you know them? What’s wrong with a 12 year old wanting paint? Seriously?

Some need to remember it's about being family not how many gifts, 1-2 Gifts still count .older adults ya they can get some gifts, baby is young but can get gifts outfit bottle etc ,young ones about 4-7 it's fine their still growing and they can change their interest. I have a daughter young adult 18 she got 1 big gift and small gifts plus some stocking stuffers, age docent matter like 🤔 elderly can get gifts, Money is Not everything family is .

I think they were thoughtful gifts that were based on each kids likes and personalities. The Bible’s with their name on it were so nice… I’m guessing that the 4 year would be into Barbie’s as she’s older
I didn’t know about the kids kindles until your last video. I had been wanting to get the girls kindles and thought we’d just buy them an older model Paperwhite but I think they’ll love the kids version. We plan on getting those for their birthdays in January. So fun and inspiring to see your picks for your kiddos!

I think the purpose behind the 4 gift rule is to be more thoughtful in gift giving. Makes it less of about gift grab and more about family. I think it’s a wonderful idea.

She can do as she wants. They are her kids not yours! Stop being judgy! kids don’t need gobs of toys. Plus re,ember they have aunts uncles and grandparents to buy them gifts! She can buy them want she wants. She knows her kids better then strangers on the internet!
