These people mad at DirecTV need to wise up. Disney is the greedy culprit here & DirectTV definitely should've held off on the increase but at least they are trying to get Disney to be reasonable & do things differently with the channels. Disney will continue asking for more and more for the same content or even less content now that some of it is only on Disney +. The kids channels, Freeform, etc,... people don't even care about anymore, especially nowadays when kids don't even watch live TV...and Disney shoots themselves in the foot by doing it b/c they continue to make things more expensive which only contributes to people leaving the bloated, increasingly expensive cable tv model which offers less and less. Even ESPN you have to get ESPN + now to get all the content for UFC & such...Disney wants to have their cake and eat it too. F them.
Yep it's certainly frustrating with the continued price hikes and squabbles. At least we do have more choices now. VOD will eventually be the way. Live TV is just overall getting too expensive. The culprit is sports and news programming, which also includes locals ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox.

You have good thinking 😉 It just seemed like this story was next in line with how long it's been going on and as we hopefully get closer to this being resolved. Agreed! ESPN lost is the biggest driver for customer loss.
If you can get by with the antenna and VOD services then that will save you a good amount each month. It may be a good time to try it. Ther services will still be there if you decide to go back. 😉

I dropped DIRECTV after 20 years. Enough is enough. Tired of going through these squabbles to save us money and they raise the rates anyway!

DirecTV is pathetic. Lost millions in past few years.
I won't be back. Screw them. I'm using Sling Orange and it works for me. My antenna gets all my locals and the picture is sharper than DTV's.
