This album is one of my favorites of Judas Priest, and not only because it was their first album that I heard back when I started listening to Metal in 85! So many good songs in it! I like the production as well. Not so much the drums. Just imagine if Scott Travis played on it... Holland made a good work, but Travis is on another level! Greetings from Italy!
same for me, the prelude is like the low point of your life, depressing. Throughout the song you can feel the ups and downs via the guitar solos which is amazing, and it just cheers you up to rock hard and do what you want, be a free soul!

Was in high school when this album came out, living outside Toronto which was a metal haven at the time. Friends and I would play this album constantly. Still love going back to it.
Saw this tour at Madison Square Garden. 4th of July weekend. Words can't explain the mayhem. Best concert I've ever seen yet. It was completely insane. 200k in damages. Great times.

I've been listening to this one for around 18 years now, and it amazes me how underrated it is. This should be one of the top hits of Judas Priest, alongside Ram It Down and Breaking The Law.

I saw this tour in July at the Cow Palace(Daly City), 1984 was an awesome year!!!! Also saw Rush, Grace under Pressure Tour, in May. Also at theCow Palace. Also in May of 1984 was Scorpions Love at First Sting, at the Cow Palace.Then there was Iron Maiden, for the Power Slave Tour(World Slavery Tour )in March of '85. Also, at the Cow Palace. Those were the greatest days of my youth!!!! I yearn to go back in time and see these GIFTED MUSICIANS again. Who wants to go with me?
