  • I have rung some good 12s but these are top notch! These are a Whitechapel 12. Back 10 cast in 2004 and augmented in 2006. The tenor weighs 26cwt (1357kg) in D and is a magnificent bell! Well worth a visit!
    Sorry about the wonky camera angle. I didn't realize it was being filmed like that until I reviewed the footage.

    Jake if you go into the youtube editor you can move your vid through 80 degrees clockwise.
    Great Whitechapel. peal for sure.

    Very nice, heaviest bell I've rung up atm is the 21cwt tenor at Lurgan, Co. Armagh, but I'm hoping to ring up at Truro Cathedral (33 cwt) and at St. Buryan (37cwt) this summer.

      21 to 33 really isn't a good idea mate. I would take it VERY gently as going from a certain weight to a very heavy weight could cause a heart attack. Just be mindful that there are risks when it comes to heavy bell ringing.
