I love the fact that this choir had so many men involved! Its a very balanced choir vocally and visually! Everything was so clean and well rehearsed! The soloists did amazing jobs and everything was so professional! Amazing representation of show choir!
Sorry, I just gotta ask. How do we go from Stairway to Heaven, to 8 bars of 25 or 6 to 4, to 8 bars of While My Guitar Gently Weeps, straight back to Stairway? It seems, at best, out of place. Not to take away from the excellent rendition of Stairway to Heaven. Too many choirs make the mistake of arranging the last verse as a choral number, which totally kills the punch Plant's vocals brought the song in the first place. Having a soloist wail over the choir is exactly what the song requires, and it was indeed well-executed.
Definitely one of the stranger decisions including While My Guitar Gently Weeps instead of the vocal part of 25 or 6 to 4 then going right back to Stairway.
It is indeed an original story representing a spooky hotel. :) It starts out on the ground floor, and as you move higher, more and more of the guests turn into ghosts. The designers intentionally did not want the story to focus around a singular character but instead allow the viewer to make their own interpretation of the music and themes.
