    Hey Tom, thank you for the spoiler review. I am the type of gamer that doesn’t want to play through the campaign. I will just want to pick and choose which modules I want to use. This was awesome thanks

    Sometimes we use the 2B: War scenario jump start rules to make the game quicker.

      I mean Jack took it from Yusei first so I'd say it's fair game.

    Can't wait for this! Just got the game recently and the other expansions. 10/10 game for me and I believe this expansion will be no different

    Hmm I had been holding off on this since I thought it would be just a campaign. While I like the idea of campaigns for boardgames, it is just not realistic for my game group to ever finish them. We have string a of unfinished Legacy games and never got our Decent second edition game off the ground. So I have been unwilling to add one more to that pile, however since it all serves as standalone modules I will definitly be getting it soon.

    Sadly there wasn't really an ending to the story.

    Vesna is with S not Z and it is Russian for Spring. I guess it looks like cossacks faction. Looks cool :)

    This one is a tad expensive though, almost the price of the base game. But this looks epic!!!

    A story with no ending for its main characters and 2 overpowered factions... Hmmm, not willing to visit it again. The base game is fine as it is (with minor upgrades such as the modular board at most).

    Finally watched this after holding off on it all weekend. I guess I had my hopes way too high, because I'm not really impressed with this... oh well.

    What is th story of the campaign? dont mind spoiler

    • @amberknight6585
      @amberknight6585 2 года назад

      Rasputin is the mastermind who was secretly pushing for war between the nations and forcing Tesla to develop the mech technology. Tesla disappeared and Vesna, his daughter, wanted to find him and regroup the nations against the evil forces. The end: nobody knows, as there is no ending to the story (just a classification of types of future government according to who won and how).

    thank you for spoiling the modules but NOT the campaign... I wanted to understand exactly what I bought but NOT fly through the rulebook and campaign looking for explanation and spoiling the story I fully intend to play.

    Does using the war track remove the popularity loss for attacking?

    • @MrKeller13
      @MrKeller13 6 лет назад +2

      Simon Taylor I doubt it because popularity still determines final scoring. Haven't looked at the rules yet for that though. But I would say no because of end game scoring.

      No it just removes the popularity star option.

    How is this a spoiler review? This just seems like a review, while the non spoiler review just sounded like a friend being excited for something he can't explain...

    • @winnie666
      @winnie666 6 лет назад +11

      he reveals all the surprises, so he spoils all the sealed components. how is this NOT a spoiler review?

    • @princeneumator
      @princeneumator 6 лет назад +3

      I suppose for some people just opening the boxes would be a spoiler. For me tho that's just "what's in the box." He didn't reveal any of the details of the campaign story itself, and from my perspective, I don't know how anything in this video would possibly ruin someone's gaming experience.
      Also, I found the "non-spoiler review" completely unhelpful... "Guys! Guys! It's good! Really good!" is a sort of review I suppose, but I could get that from my buddy. I come to the Dice Tower for in depth analysis which could not be provided in the non spoiler review because he couldn't talk about...anything of substance really?
      for me spoilers literally "spoil" an experience. Knowing what's coming in Pandemic Legacy might lead you to behave differently leading up to it and the surprises are great. This is just new ways to play, not legacy in any way. I don't care if I see everything in the box for a Star Wars Imperial Assault expansion as long as they don't show all the traps and surprises in the campaign book. I guess that's the difference for me.
      Did you play it first and then come here after, or what is your experience with this expansion and spoilers?

    • @laartwork
      @laartwork 4 года назад +2

      @@princeneumator everything is in boxes and revealed at different times during the campaign. So the factions are a surprise. Three Mad Tesla is a surprise. Certainly spoiler.

    Got the game, played it, just cannot feel the love and no idea why anyone rates it highly. Boring group solo game. This just looks like more of the same stuff which is a shame. Time to sell this off.

    • @TheDJconspiracy
      @TheDJconspiracy 6 лет назад +16

      Subcomandante73 tbh I have a group of friends who hate these type of games but for some reason this clicked to them. They expressed how much depth the game has while having easy to understand rules. I guess the mixture of combat and farming mechanics make it fun for both worlds. That's just my ruling and experience. Im sorry to hear that friend. Any reason specifically why you don't like it?

    • @chrismurphy9932
      @chrismurphy9932 6 лет назад +2

      I agree. It's just a bit of a slog. It takes too long to get your engine going and once you finally do, the game's over. Seems like some of the content in the expansion might mitigate that for me, but I sold my copy a while ago. I know lots of people with the game who'll be getting this expansion though, so I definitely will have the opportunity to try this.

    • @aliasisudonomo
      @aliasisudonomo 6 лет назад +15

      It's far from 'group solitaire'. While Scythe isn't a wargame, going an entire game without fighting at least once is a big, big mistake. Still not for everyone, yes, but if you like building engines this is a hell of an engine builder.

      I haven't played Fenris yet but I have ever other expansion and I am in the same boat as you; it's just plain boring. I do not get it. I wanted to love it but found nothing to love as of yet.

    Why are there so many female minis? Every commander post wwi was female? It makes even less sense for Japan.
