there is no way salt was first used 6000 bc. jerico is from 9000 bc & that is not even close. FIRE is from 1.5 MILLION years BC, so I am a bit certain we figured out salt a little before we learned how to build a city

Salt definitely can make food taste good, but only if just the right amount is added. Add too much and it will make food taste REALLY awful.
