WORST CRUISE DAY EVER!!!

    I'm so sorry this happened. We are on the cruise that your meant to be on now. I obviously didn't have the serious issues you have had, but I can vouch for the fact that carnival are really not helpful with fixing, addressing or finding issues before you get on board. I booked 2 rooms for myself, my partner and our 5 kids in October last year, I spent since the 16th of October (the day I booked), emailing and calling to fix many issues. The biggest being that I was placed in my partners interior room and he was in my balcony room. No biggie to most except my 2 kids were allocated to the balcony room with him (he isn't their legal guardian) and his 3 kids were allocated to the interior room with me (not their legal guardian). Carnival kept saying it wasn't an issue and when we got on board it would be a quick fix.... nope. We've had my partners name removed from the booking randomly the week before boarding. Then they put him back on in the place of my child. So he was listed as a child. Then he was allocated her bubbles package. Then he was allocated her waterbomb excursion. Then her water bomb excursion was randomly cancelled. I had to re purchase. This was all before boarding.
    We get on board.
    They fix the room mix up and put me in the balcony and my partner in his interior. Amazing, all is good.... then none of the kids keys work to enter any room... so back to the service desk. Fix that, new keys issued. Then the eldest child vanishes from the hub app. Back to the service desk. Apparently the 15 year old was allocated her own account? Seems like a smart idea Carnival. So we fix that and she's back on our accounts. Go to buy the $8 chat packages on the apps for all our kids and ourselves... can't get it on the 15 year olds app... back to guest services. She's been given a $0 spending limit... by who? Who knows. Finally fixed that. It's day 2 and I've spent 90% of my time lined up at guest services plus hours and hours in the 8 months prior calling and emailing to fix extremely simple things that Apparently were impossible to fix.
    If they couldn't help with a basic switch of names on the same booking I am not surprised they couldn't help you. It's a shame because the staff on board have been beyond amazing, the carnival support is absolutely horrendous.

    So sorry this happened to you. Keep us posted. If you get stuck and fly back - join us on the Magic on Saturday! I know this sucks... so sorry.

      Looks like USA is coming through, waiting for emergency passport now, so barring anything crazy, hopefully on a flight tonight to Brisbane to meet up with ship in the morning
