- How to adjust the clutch play on your zx6r from the lever, and on the cable. This is an extremely easy process and requires minimal tools. This is a maintenance item that you will adjust periodically; maintaining proper clutch play and slack is very important and will improve your motorcycle riding experience and make your starts and stops, gear shifting, and wheelies much better! Do not get your clutch cable to tight, otherwise you will be slipping in gears, wearing and burning out your clutch plates, and you will surely have to replace your entire clutch. Don't be the goof replacing your clutch, follow our instructions straight from the owners manual and keep your bike running, riding, and sounding great! Comment with any questions, enjoy!

7:42 Can you please make a video on different type of ways to burn your clutch. I took a motorcycle course and I asked that question to an Instructor and her answer was "Newer bikes have what they call a slipper/wet clutch and you cant burn out your clutch"

Cool! Maybe in the future videos I suggest to include how you maintain your clutch and throttle cable :) That makes it all complete: Done with throttle adjustment, then clutch adjustment, then last would be it's maintenance...oh wait, maybe replacement is the last.

What'd you do for your600 mile service? I own my bike and can do my own oil change and stuff but I was wondering if the 600 mile service is actually super important?
At 600 I would change ur oil, check the coolant level in your reservoir, check chain slack, adjust throttle and clutch if needed, and make sure you don't have any loose bolts on your fairings anywhere. Otherwise everything else, air filter, valves, etc. is further down the road 👍
Hey man, do you get a clunk when letting out your clutch in first from a stop.
I do not, ur chain is probably not adjusted right
@@bikesandbangs does it at 30mm slack, 35mm, 40mm. It’s right before the friction zone you can feel a slight clunk right before the bike will start moving. Doesn’t do it the rear stand though
@ftlw1433 tough to say, you shouldn't be getting any clunking anytime

I just got the same exhaust as you, do you think it will be an issue with how close the link pipe is to the rear tire? I
Worried it will heat up the tire too much
Nah it'll be fine, warm tires stick to the pavement better, but your tire gets way more heat from the pavement on a hot summer day
