Thank you so much for posting this. I’m sorry that you had to struggle for so long without support. Videos like yours though will hopefully go a long way in reducing the stigma attached to seeking help for learning disabilities at university 😊

I'm so happy I found this video. I'm similar with the times tables and spellings and no one in primary and especially my posh white secondary school picked up on it and they just thought I was lazy and didn't try hard enough when I spent so long doing things and had barely anything to show for it. It's literally a few months into my final year or university after 4 years that I was assessed and found out I'm dyslexic and would benefit so much from support after struggling through university with no idea. It doesn't help I find it so hard to ask for help in general because I always though I didn't understand cus I was lazy or slow and didn't try hard enough. I'm glad I know now though and hopefully knowing and your tips will help as I go into the world of work etc. Thank you!

That is exactly it. Now knowing it makes such a different. I also feel like I don't talk down to myself anymore and I don't think I'm stupid. I just learn in a different way

This video is so very empowering, thank you! I'm still not sure that admitting to a learning disability/difference in my UCAS application will negatively affect my application... I'd truly appreciate your thoughts on the matter. Thank you.

It shouldn't because that would be against the law here

How much writing do you have to do in essay? Of course every course is different but I can’t write no more than 700-800 words. Does that means I’ll fail? I’m Autistic and always struggled with learning.

It's about 2,000 to 4,000 words depending on the topic. If you can't do the essays? Probably, unfortunately
