I'm Peruvian, and after playing the game, I'm pretty sure Lamu is a jarjacha. The jarjacha is a very old legend supposedly created by the Spanish in colonial times so that the indigenous people would not commit incest, which was widely practiced by families long before the conquest of the Tahuantinsuyo empire. If you commit an incestuous relationship, you become a llama with a human face with the possibility of having up to three heads with the ability of psychotic powers such as hypnosis to make it easier to catch its victims. He has a thirst for meat, specifically human heads which are his favorite part. It appears in the dark of the night in search of prey, so it is very dangerous to be alone and you must run as fast as possible so that it does not find you since hiding is useless. If you are going to do tourism in very remote rural towns in Peru, it is likely that they will tell you about this legend and warn you of its dangers. The jarjacha of this game is interesting because she suffers from schizophrenia, that explains why the narrator tells her what to do as if she were an internal voice and sees things that are not like the dog that is a banana, people are fruits, the night it is the day for him. Very interesting and fascinating folklore and mythology of this type of beings.

Just a little detail, the thing behind the tree was us, the player. As the thing seemed to have white gloves on like the others and we spawn infront of a tree, the exact way the thing did. plus, it makes sense that we'd be infront of the tree, probably to let us be our "own fruit" or something.
The weird thing is. I had a teacher that LOVED llamas. She had stickers, pictures and one time even gave us extra points for drawing a llama on the back of one of our tests. This wasn't even in elementary, it was middle school!
My theory is when he finds the 'fruit friends', they are actually humans begging for their lives, but due to lamu being insane, they sound like they were letting him eat their 'fruit' for finding them. And when he hits the banana dog on the head with a rock, he is actually silencing it so the 'fruit friends' dont run away early due to hearing the dog howling and barking in pain while being eaten. To shorten the second part: He knocks the dog out so the humans dont run at the sound of their dogs final seconds.
I didn’t notice at first that the dude hiding behind the tree while he was playing as Lamu was us because when the perspective changed happened we appeared to be behind a tree so that’s a nice lil detail since Lamu sees humans as uhh.."fruit friends"
I think they probably caught lamu by luring him with a fake human, and having people possible use camouflage clothes to blend in, and when he came to eat it, they might've shot him with tranquilizer darts. if that didnt work they might've had a trap that would catch him if he tried to back away. but thats just a theory.. a game theory.
theory: The narrator is insane and decided to do a test experiment on llama for revenge on the people who wronged him. making it eat whatever it could find. The llama starts to think the humans and the dog are fruits. that why blood came out when he ate him.

ok so heres a thing to note or what i think is happening (spoilers) lamu is a person who probably had metal issues and somehow went into the forest wearing a llama costume. he took the name Lamu after the park.not only is the guy in the lama suit insane but by eating the human brains it drove him more and more insane. basically "lamu" has mad cow disease (which is caused in humans by eating human brains and cannibalisum) the disease and his already bad mental health causes him to see things differently from other humans, making him believe that he is a llama and that the other "fruit" want to be eaten but thats just a my thoughts/theory

The start of the game made me think of something funny. Imagine if Fusion played a cute game and put a horrifying thumbnail. He asks at the start “do you think this is going to be scary or not?” The unsuspecting viewer would laugh at the question and say it is scary. BUT AT LAST! The game is actually adorable and cute! The video ends with an April Fools! Just a little thought that made me laugh.
Imagine buying this game for your child then going to watch tv or make lunch or something to only hear their screams from the other room and run to them to find lamus face looking into their soul
