The first segment of what Brady says is so spot on it’s ridiculous people can’t identify with him. MK players simultaneously hate and love everything at the same time. Nitara is a perfect example. This character is finally good after 9 months, has an actual identity now (high flyer/divekick) and now EVERYONE says it’s broken and needs a nerf. How badly does NRS need to strip these characters down before it becomes a poke only game?

I dont think its that people didnt want nitara to become good, its that dmg was never her issue, but being able to induce 50/50s safely left and right and get incredible dmg [like 60%dmg] from it is ridiculous. Her pwr lvl currently is well above majority of the cast which means the rest of the cast should either be scaled up to make this mickey game ever more mickey, or scale her dmg down some.

Goes to show how weak the characters are and how bad the kameo system has made this game. Nrs knew better but they are too lazy to actually make a game. The back 4 attack that nitara has is the same attack that mileena has in mk11 some moves have been recycled to other characters. The skins are the same every season just minor designs added to their original look or another color palette. They should've just made a regular mk based game with kameos as options, more/further customization, and better intros and outros. Now down 1 spamming and kameos have messed the gameplay up and just gets too repetitive

I am 100% with you Mike, about the return to 3D. However, Tom has a point. NRS is too incompetent for something as complex as a 3D fighting game. If they could borrow the license to Harada, well that would be a dream come true.

@@maskoftiers77788 a balance in which you don’t die by only 2 combos on 15 sec. For example nitara buffs are ridiculous, one combo from nitara can rip your health off by 50%, li mei is too strong she makes 40-50% with 1 bar. As a kung lao player and reiko too, i’m making 40% combos with 2 bars so we can see a lot chars are stronger than others, makes this game unbalanced. The same situation with kameos. In mkx and mk11 every character needs to spend 2 bars to get 40% combos. In mk1 it’s not the case and the opportunity for a comeback is too small.

The thing I’m wondering is the identity of the Ghostface killers. If it’s the actors that play Billy and Stu in Scream then that would be cool but I could also see them being MK characters in disguise

Great watch brotha. Honestly what I think as a multi fighting game player is that MK1 is a great game, but not for mortal kombat players. Tag fighters are pretty popular and without a doubt one he kameo system is the most unique assist system in all of fighting games, solely for the fact that there are summon assist, let alone assists that interact with the player. But because MK players are pretty widely kasual and typically don’t play fighting games outside of mortal kombat it’s hard for them to appreciate

Damn. Patch notes came out. I don’t think Tom is gonna like them. Few characters actually got changes to be excited about…. And Kameos, I don’t get the vibe that they will be anymore balanced
I love the idea of kameos being able to just die, or get knocked out of the fight. Why give them HP if it just amounts to them endlessly respawning?
In mvc2 and mvc 3, even with the assist being an actual character you can freely tag in and control, you get caught in a "Happy birthday" situation, they're just cooked.

This game is designed around Kameos, 1V1 isn’t even practical. A huge percent of Combos wouldn’t be possible without the Kameo’s as the movelists leave much to be desired. The DLC characters aren’t even playing the same game as the base roster. They would have to add a lot more moves for each character
I think to balance the Fatal blow. They should give you one try for free. If you whiff or do it on block. The next time it costs all your meter.

What I have realized over the years is that what the super competitive players want for the game doesn't sell games so that's why they get ignored. I get where they're coming from but they're oblivious to the fact that 99% of people don't want to go full tryhard in their pass time like them. Normal people only care about what's fun or interesting and frame data and all the other fgc stuff just isn't fun to normal people. Sorry if companies don't cater to the fact that less than 1% of their userbase are trying to validate themselves through being good at video games. Just have fun dudes and chill out. All that competitive stuff sounds corny at this point, why be competitive at a video game when there are so many more things in life that would benefit you if you put that same energy into it. TLDR stop being dependent on video game validation and you might actually have fun before you die.
If that’s the case of “fun” then why have any tournaments for these kind of games????

@@TooSweaty7Yea that’s true but his one of the few and first of the top MK pro players that play at the highest level to have kompeted and place in Tekken tournaments pro scene at the highest level and did good. Apart from SonicFox today but didn’t do as good as MKTomBrady in Tekken against the best of the best in Tekken.

You definetely have point right there! I guess the perfect opportunity for a 3D MK was MK1 since it was the first time in decades that a sequel to MK came relatively soon after it's prequel, next MK is probably gonna be in a long while and if they make it too experimental it might kill the franchise for good but it could also save it I guess!
