I have Makita fast charger seems similar to yours, except when I remover the 4 screw and the bottom. It's Model # is DC-9000. But my circuit board is not flat, the first thing you see when you first look inside. Mine is vertical squeezed between transformer and the deep indented plastic case part. I hope mine is just a fuse too. I noticed it says give the charger a 1/4 hour break, between fully charging batteries. I bought it used. Maybe it was just overheated. But I did us a volt meter on the wires coming off the transformer and there is nothing there. There is 120V AC coming in, so the cord is good
I have the Makita battery charger model DC1290A the charger is charging but it is humming when you plug it in before you even put a battery in it or turn it on is this normal any help is appreciated thank you
You may be able to jump start the battery using a battery charger on 6 volt holding it onto the battery for a short time then putting the battery into the charger if the battery is completely dead it cannot receive a signal to charge it has worked for me in the past on other batteries try this before replacing
Sometimes it's the battery that's the problem. Does it behave that way with a new battery? I, for instance, have a battery which the charger refuses to charge, unless I drain it almost to zero, so when that battery starts getting weak, I run it in the drill for a few minutes until there's very little power left, then put it back in the charger and it charges. Bear in mind that it's hard to diagnose these things without having a spare battery that you know is good. I bought a few on eBay for around $12.
Wish I had a grandpa like you

I have this same charger with the same issue - the red light doesn't come on & it doesn't charge. I'll check the fuse. Thanks for making the video.
So you changed the fuse and that fixed the prooblem for you?

What can you do for one that charger is good but want charger one that is dead
i'm sorry i don't understand your question.
@@grandpaworks8632 I think he's saying that his charger is good, but it won't charge a battery that's dead. I would advise him to buy another battery.
