It's supposed to be a goal that hunters can look at from the very start of their journey and go "Ok I need to be able to kill that". Also I wouldn't count Magnamalo out just yet. We didn't get to see very much because Deus was the real monster here, but there could be a lot more to the monster's kit that we haven't seen yet. That said, the flagship monsters are usually meant to operate as a sort of vehicle for other conflicts that take place throughout the game. Since the rampage is supposed to be a very important part of this game's story, it can be expected that Magnamalo probably has some sort of ability that lets it manipulate or at least incite other monsters. All of that said, I don't think anyone should really be offended if you're not super interested in it. I've got plenty of other monsters throughout the series that I enjoy way more in terms of design and mechanics. Regardless, I hope I was able to answer a few of your questions.

@@michaelchesnut865 There's been a little misunderstanding between us I think. You're talking about the series/franchise, I'm specifically talking about Rise. I love Monster Hunter's unique themes. Rise has unfortunately revealed dozens of themes at this point and all of them contain heavily traditional japanese instruments and vocals, leading to a very overwhelming, heavy handed theming. The lead composer for the game has also said that they've slightly changed some songs to sound catchier, as well as adding vocals to every single monster theme in the game. Which are both a cause for concern for me, considering he's an entirely new face to Monster Hunter and his previous game soundtracks were Resident Evil, which aren't known for having interesting soundtracks.

@@pop3stealth97 (talking about the hh in mhw ib, didnt play rise) since iceborne its actually strong enough for solo but playing the buffs solo is a bit annoying, you really have to know the boss pattern in order to play your buffs without to get interrupted but thats pretty much everything, its still different from hammer tho but if you meant rise, then its a 100% yes, hh in rise is better in almost every way than ik mhw ib, especially for soloing but i didnt play rise but i would say so (sorry for bad english)

cant even beat him after three perfect mounts, constantly sticking to him like glue as best i can, using all endemic life and buffs i can manage, knocking him over, breaking several body parts, and not dying a single time. and yet here you are killing him in 8 minutes with a horn, god damnit xD
Firstly, it's a demo, so it isn't going to get any buffs or nerfs, and secondly, hh is already buffed so much it became the best weapon, so why would it be getting buffs?

@@pop3stealth97 Absolutely. The Self-Improvement (breakdance) song has a ridiculous amount of I-frames, buffs are easy to apply to yourself, and the sheer amount of multihit combos that are pulled off in quick succession make the Hunting Horn a more viable solo weapon than it’s ever been.
They should've just add the recital as part the moveset along with all these moves. Playing recital makes song buffs last longer while the new fast one is better to abuse for speedrunning. Good for casuals and elitists.
I'm trying to learn the hunting horn now, this video actually taught me much about how it works in Rise. Didn't know earthshatter has hyperamor when performing the second hit 6:18
@@damedanedameyodamenanoyo2594 He's on the Fanged Wyvern skeleton, specifically Zinogre's version of it, so obviously he shares many similarities and moves. Besides the divebomb move that Nergigante and Valstrax have, the rest of his borrowed moves are from other fanged wyverns, like his double bite from Odo/Girros/Tobi, or are generic moves that any monsters could use. Just because he stabs with his tail doesn't mean he does it even remotely similar to Velkhana, their skeletons aren't very compatible in the first place. The Gore/Valstrax/Nergigante skeleton and the fanged wyvern skeleton have enough similarities that they will obviously reuse animations there, same as the Amphibian skeleton being tied to the Fanged Wvyern one.

For all those who are wondering, this is the in-game info about "Hellfireblight" (yeah, that's a mouthful lol) spoiler alert!! ---- If you're afflicted with this status, an explosion will trigger if you get knocked back, or after a certain amount of time has passed, causing serious damage. To remove it: -Use Deodorant (What?!) -Repeatably evade (L-Stick + B Button) -Perform a Wiredash Performing a Wiredash while afflicted with hellfireblight will remove tge effect and drop hellfire on that spot. Hellfire will detonate after a certain time *or when attacked.* Bait monsters into atttacking that spot, and they'll be damaged by the explosion ---- You're welcome, I only thought to look it up in-game like 10 minutes ago lol

Uhh, really cool. I should try the Hunting Horn. I used often Mizutsune for ride and fight. Mizutsune and Magnamalo are "dating" very often in my runs. But one time I used that boy, that let u smell and guide monsters to follow after you, wherever you go. I tried this with Rathian, when she was very far away from Magnamalo, but holy....she is very fast. I really like, what Rise is going to offer. Can't wait.
This Magnamolo was chillin around near his favorite shrines, then he hear a hopeless scream for help, its Rathian, Magnamolo confused why she running like a Kut-ku. Then she appear, hunteress covered with Basarios "Whot the fuck" Magnamolo said

@@deinonychus1948Yep, at 2:00 you can see Deus get hellfired and use a wiredash to shake it off, which turns the fire into a mine magna steps on.
