Supergrass and Gaz Coombes are very underrated, I don't understand whey they did'nt get the fame that they deserved. everybody talks about Oasis and blur but in my opinion Supergrass and Pulp were better bands, Gaz as a solo artist is also great.
Ruben Rodriguez I do agree that Supergrass were terribly underrated especially after In It For the Money, you have to remember their first two albums did get to number 1 in the UK and they had a few top 10 hits during Britpop. I think from the Self titled album onwards Ruben I think they started to get sadly neglected apart from their hardcore fanbase, I saw them so many times cause they were supporting bands like Oasis and Coldplay so many times and always blown them off stage imo whenever I saw them. Life on Other planets is a great album as is Road To Rouen which a more downbeat album. I think their last album Diamond Hoo Ha was their weakest but it still had some great songs on it. Great band I think will become more loved in the years to come. Pulp's Different Class is probably one of the great British albums of the 90's, I think many people would admit that.
I love all their albums, road to rouin is awesome and Diamond Hoo Ha is my favorite one, I hope that one day they come back, meanwhile Gaz is making great music :)
There is no such list about underrated musicians, so it sucks that under every bloody video you find this stupid "underrated" comment. If they might not be as recognized as other acts, it says more about the stupid masses than missing appreciation. Obviously there are people appreciating Supergrass, sure. Majorities voted for Trump, they always shit on the biggest pile. I´m happy not being one of those.
Supergrass was the best British band of the last 20 years, and Gareth deserves a lot more attention. He made 2 f#@$^n great albums. I think he is too modest maybe.

First, great interview, Gaz Coombes is an incredible musician and front man. Second, Supergrass is an awesome band and deserve the recognition that shit bands like Oasis get. I just heard the song "Alright" in a frosted shredded wheat commercial. Normally, I would be disgusted by this, but the 90 seconds that prevents me from being forced to look or listen to the likes of Lady GaGa, Beyoncé, Kanye West, Nikki Minaj, Miley Cyrus and the rest of the no talent artist that make music for the eyes and not the ears, is 90 seconds I can't appreciate life.
