WHAT an American hero JAKE HAENER! Uplifting story during troubling times.
So happy last time I was this excited Derek Carr and Davante Adams were still playing for us
Thinking back, it’s crazy that a Group of 5 team was able to land that QB/WR duo.
@@pschighlights For real
2018 ring a bell? That win over Boise in the snow
@@bulldogsbob You're right! Revenge for the game earlier that same year, honestly most of my memories from that game was Boise rushing the damn ball.
bro we're better now, we never beat any ranked teams that year, and got our ass kicked to #25 ranked usc, this might go down as the best Fresno state team ever
Jake Haener is an absolute warrior. I could see him having a future in the NFL.
He def has the arm strength
Now he's on my Saints and gets to sit behind Derek Carr who also went to Fresno State. Haener also said he grew up a Saints fan and admired Drew Brees. Happy for him. He's living the dream rn
As a Fresno State fan, that game took 3 years off my life. Total game control domination by their off offense first 3 qtrs, then started fumbling and had to answer twice in the 4th. Gutsy.
3 years indeed!
We deserved that win after all the close but no win games At top 25 teams over the years.
Texas Am in 07 Wisconsin in 09 numerous games at Oregon and of course SC in 05.
They should have blown the whistle before that Fresno State fumble. Four guys on him. That was BS.
@@chuckcribbs3398, he was still moving forward though.
sounds like every valley game ever
Everyone thought Oregon played bad against Fresno State in game one. Fresno State is probably a lot better than we all thought.
From someone that was at that Fresno Oregon game, Fresno looked like the better football team Oregon just executed on Fresno’s mistakes
Fresno State has regularly scheduled games against PAC-12 opponents and is WINNING them more often!
Fresno State barely beat UNLV and lost to Hawaii, lol.
@@TheHaloRed That’s conference play for you🤷🏽♂️ Oregon and Florida are perfect examples of that this week. Plus traveling to Hawaii to play a game is tough. I bet the Dogs win out
@@TheHaloRed They took a BEATING against Hawaii. Haener was under pressure all night; kinda 'splains the two picks and one fumble. That KILLED the 'Dogs, as the Rainbows got 17 points off those turnovers. Nothing but good ol' fashioned "smashmouth" football, wherein Hawaii had it over Fresno State.
Jake Haener is a 🐐 led his team to a game winning TD drive while injured.
In 40 seconds and less than a minute to play.
And we literally let the guy walk. Bruh.
Jake Haener is an absolute boss. The pain was clear, but he was playing through it for his team. He turned me into a fan. I hope that he continues to do big things in the future!
Best game I've seen in a long time! Almost had me in tears! Go Dogs!!
Jake Haener has guts and desire and mental toughness. He fought through injury and pain and made it happen. EPIC performance. Haener has the intangible thing that makes a player a winner. Hope he gets to the NFL.
A gutty performance by Fresno State’s quarterback. UCLA’s defense on the short side of field was horrific.
Coaching. Jumping offsides twice on 4th down, got some home town calls too.
Definition of heart right there. He will be in the league with a showing like that.
I don’t feel so bad for how close they kept up against Oregon. Fresno is for real. Hope that qb gets better! Go ducks
Yup, I’m a huge Oregon fan and this made us look a lot better. So much respect for the bulldogs
You duckies are lucky! They would beat u if they played u again.
We used the handicap playbook against FRESNO ST.
WE opened it up against Ohio. Ducks would decimate
@@raider1o295 Oh shut it... No one wants to hear that...
@@raider1o295 i mean, dont thinks thats really true. Oregon found a few plays they could use on Ohio State and they kept exploiting them that way. The blocking was also really effective in columbus
Haener hobbling around like a 100 year old WW2 Vet, and still throwing darts.
Haener showed the between contender and pretender.
The team really showed honor and hearts as their quarterback lead the way.
WOW - does Haener have HEART or what ?!?!?! He was DEFINITELY in serious pain and yet fought on to win...cool to watch !!
This is what makes college football great!!! Not the conference but the fight inside the dawg!!!
As a bruins fan This was a very hard video to watch but I have a lot of respect for Fresno state
Jake fought through that. What a game!
Haener had a a spectacular game, but Cropper is a stud too. UCLA had absolutely no answer for #5 all night long, and especially on that last drive.
Damn that Haener has some balls and guts. Seems it radiates throughout the entire lineup
Love these times when Fresno St is great. Hopefully we run the table, win the MW and are in a big bowl game.
Haener here reminds me of Fields against Clemson last year. Playing through the pain just for their team
Had the exact same thought. Both are tremendously tough football players
As I look across the college football landscape the small schools that use to get blown out by bigger schools are closing the gap and more of the small schools are winning
Fresno State is no joke! This team is for real.
Isn’t this why we LOVE college football? What a gutsy comeback by Fresno’s injured QB! Man!
I agree, this is why watch college kids ball out Saturdays.
The Big 12 should add Fresno State. They deserve to be in a Power 5 conference.
Shout out to that Fresno state qb and to those recievers for playing very smart by making sure they got the first down, getting the most yards they could, then stepping out of bounds. Very smart plays.
Congrats to Fresno State! Good to see QB Haener give a little "old school" touch playing through the pain! Hope he heals quick!
anyone else here remember back in the mid 2000's when Fresno beating pac-10 (wasn't 12 at that time) teams was just a normal thing? and a lot of people felt they deserved to be in the conference. they were one of the original giant killers. the rise of boise kinda stole their thunder and they faded for a while, but i hope they're back to being really good every season. i've always liked them.
Well yes but then again people don’t really appreciate that there were good teams in the WAC and MWC, and then you had just god tier teams winning their conference.
To date Utah nor TCU has played tougher schedules at any point than when they played in the MWC.....
2008 BYU played 4 Top 10 teams in a G5 conference..... no wonder they wanted to gtfo out of there.
Heaner will be in the NFL one day. That's first round worthy performance.
His size will probably limit him to 3rd or 4th round. And that's if he continues to show the balls he did tonight.
@@progshark he's 6'1..
Kyler Murray is 5'10, Baker Mayfield is 6'1 and were 1st picks.. Height doesn't even matter anymore for QBs as long as they can ball out.
@@progshark his arm talent will not limit him to anything. The ball placement and his guts are crazy. If your a head coach in the NFL, you want someone like that leading your team.
@@ave0828 kyler Murray also can run with the best of them and Baker was a heisman winner well they both were
@@ave0828 if you got two similar guys playing but ones 6’5 and the other one is 5’8 who you drafting ?
Some of those throws were just incredible. Wow! The MWC has done it again. Going to be a very interesting year once conference play starts. Lots of good teams in the MW. SDSU Boise tough loss tonight but they’ll rebound. USU, keep an eye on Wyoming and Air Force is always tough.
Taking the hit the way Fresno State QB took, and staying in the game to help the Bulldogs upset #13 UCLA that took a lot of guts and determination to pull off this feat Great Job!
Suddenly my Ducks’ win against this team looks really good. If Jake Haener gets healthy and plays the rest of the year like he’s played thus far I would argue that he deserves a Heisman nomination. Incredible poise, and the ability to elevate the players around him.
Haener and Cropper were incredible in this contest.
..yeah,kinda reminds you of Derek Carr and Devante Adams huh?
That is pure guts and determination by that Fresno St QB
So proud of THE FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS. Central valley stand the fuck up!!! FRESNO STATE been slept on for years. Much love from the 209! BETTER RECOGNIZE
The Central Valley is tough now. So Cal is soft as Charmin now.
Fresno State has talent but at times the talent is not recognized. Derek Carr got his recognition and is playing for the Raiders. We'll see how Jake Haener does later on.
My gawd those boys were ballin! Big props to the Coaching Staff, Haener and Fresno State players
Amazing ending. That qb is legit
One classic game. That qb was on fire even while hurt
I came away impressed with the Bulldogs when they almost beat my Minnesota Gophers in 2019. If not for an absolutely amazing game saving interception by the Gophers 1st Team All-American Antoine Winfield they would have.
But this Bulldog game over UCLA is even more amazing. Congratulations! You’ve earned it!
That Minnesota game was epic. I was there & we couldn’t believe it the crowd was in shock ! & now Winfield Jr has a super bowl ring
This should be required viewing. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this.
So satisfying to see Fresno State beat UCLA. I knew this would happen especially seeing the Bruin players riding their Lyft electric scooters to football practice everyday, you know who you are. Go DOGS!!!
We have now beaten UCLA 4 stright times.
So this isnt new
@@bulldogsbob Exactly lol just because they are ranked doesnt mean it isnt UCLA. The dogs have their number.
Early nominee for College Football game of the year......Living on the east coast I'm glad I stayed up to 230AM to watch this
They should have added the play that injured Haener… it was brutal
This game made me go watch Fresno vs Oregon highlights again
Gives mr goosebumps.....Jake Haener may not go down as a great college QB, but he is great for Fresno State.....Go Bulldogs
It was on my bucket list to see my Bulldogs play at the Rose Bowl and thank God I did! I'm gonna have chills from this game for a long time!
Red Wave FOREVER!!
Jake Haener doing this in a bigger school like Alabama, Clemson or Georgia is the front runner for heisman….
lol!! SocTRUE....COLLEGE FOOTBALLBOS FAKE AS PHUCK!!
He was at the University of Washington. But he was getting passed over so he transferred to Fresno.
@@danw2112 and do you see why Washington is trash?
@@danw2112 Yeah and look at how crap we are.
@@natecruz7114 On the Facebook Washington Husky fan page, no one was sad when he transferred to Fresno. Most was happy he left and said he was complete trash. After last night's game, I wonder what people in that group going to say.
BTW Jake Haener's mom is,was very, very hot. I remember her as a reporter and anchor at a local eastern Washington TV station 31-32 years ago.
I'd love to have a QB like Jake Haener on my team. Showed some real grit. Great win, Fresno.
The Carr bros would be proud of that gutsy performance! They had a legit shot of beating Oregon as well, but if Cincinnati and Coastal both lose a game...Fresno St could make a NY6 bowl for G5
That Fresno qb earned everyone's respect tonight. What a tough kid. Great game!
If the 2021 season has taught us anything so far it's this: whoever puts these preseason rankings together doesn't know what they are doing.
I agree. Tbh though I can't blame them. Last year was such a mess, it really wasn't clear coming into this season where alot of teams stand.
(besides the top 5)
Wow ! What a game for Bulldogs n Mountain West !
Fresno State is for real. What a game and finish in the last seconds 😂
Who let the dogs 🐶 out
The fact that he fought through what looked to be tremendous pain and still helped lead his team to a W speaks to how tough he is and how much character he has. Mad respect from Clemson fan
Fresno St. deserves to be invited to the Pac12
Yup take out Arizona or Wazzu
Never going to happen. No matter how many times they beat Pac12 teams, they are considered a glorified junior college to those universities. It's dumb, but that's the way it is.
Agreed
Beating 1 PAC 12 team a year does Not deserve an invite. If Fresno State played the PAC 12 Schedule they'd be at the bottom of the conference every year. Ask Colorado and Utah.
@@SportZFan4L1fe they better than Arizona who just got beat by Northern Arizona. You can’t tell me Fresno state can’t be better than AZ. Fresno state gets Southern Cali talent all the time maybe lower rated but better than AZ.
Reminds me of Justin Fields last year against Clemson when he got rocked but gutted through for the win. This was an amazing game.
How legends are made!
This game was the reason i found out about haener and why i love his game
UCLA even in this loss is a decent team. But these Bulldogs never gave up. Great win for often overlooked Fresno State
Still watch this to this day
There really isn't a team that just stands out this year, even Alabama looks vulnerable. Both Clemson and Ohio State already have losses, it could be an interesting season. This weekend had some great close games all over the nation.
I'm wondering if Georgia is finally ready?
Best quarterback paly ever kid showed hella heart out there hurt n all. Key message never give no matter what if u believe then u will succeed
Its almost as if College Football is back to make up for its absence last year - WHAT A GAME!!!!
Bulldogs fans showed out at the Rosebowl! What a damn game to remember!
Good day for the MW. Terrible day for the PAC-12
Oregon is the PAC 12’s only hope 😅
Would’ve been an even better day too had a terrible call in Boise been righted.
@@Mike-aka747 take the L OSU won because we ran all over you and boise couldnt do a thing about it, the underdogs won tonight👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
SC won today fight on 👍👍👍👍👍 45-14
@@pschighlights Wouldn't count out USC just yet. Jaxson Dart seems to be the answer at QB. Those last three quarters were among the best I have seen since Pete Carroll days. If the Trojans run the table, and somehow beat a top 5 Oregon in the Pac-12 championship game with chaos across the country, who knows. My money is on Oregon, but USC might have found something at QB.
Between this, Aub/PSU, Alabama/Florida, this was the best college football weekend in a long time.
What a game, Fresno almost had the upset at Oregon a couple weeks back but Haener was just not going to be denied tonight, mad respect ✊🏼
Provided Fresno State goes undefeated in their remaining schedule, wins the MWC playoff game, and does well in whatever Bowl game they go to, Haener DESERVES the Heisman! Will he GET it? I doubt it.
Wow what a game Fresno state this year is lookin good. Put up a tough game against Oregon then beating #13 ucla. Fresno st pass offense is like watching 7 on 7 tag football. Great job by the quarterback and even to play after being in pain.
