People just gotta understand it's not easy like shipping a package, just be patient and TRUST the PROCESS ✅️
Don't be that type of driver
If a customer is paying thousands of their hard earned dollars to have their car shipped across the country, I don't think it's at all unreasonable to ask if it's been picked up or when it will arrive. 🤔🤷
Well you can ask , but it will always only be estimates, not hard guarantees. Unfortunately the industry just doesn’t support it
not unreasonable but asking why the truck driver made a stop to get something to eat? Seems a little excessive
I’ve paid over $47,000 for a truck at Joe Rizza ford in Orlando park Illinois, including $668 delivery fee. Was told 1-2 days to deliver, it’s now 7 days, with no truck and little satisfactory communication on why. So yeah I’m losing patience, this is not a simple Amazon purchase. Typical car dealership B.S.
So is there a video that educates the client on what the process entails?
This week I had 2 cars shipped as part of moving. After researching I used Sherpa to arrange my C8 Corvette on a covered carrier and my RDX on an open carrier. Both cars were picked up and delivered on time and in excellent condition. I highly recommend these folks.
Can you tell us the rate you paid , the pickup and drop locations , (just general areas ) and what trucking company moved the units for you?
@@AutoTransportForDummies I moved the cars from Scottsdale, AZ to Nashville, TN. Sherpa does “fix pricing” meaning you reserve in advance the shipping, then when a carrier is secured you pay a $200 or $300 deposit, then the balance on pickup and inspection. They are adamant about making sure you get a bill of lading signed and they follow the driver until they confirm you received the vehicle. My open carrier charge was $200 deposit then $800 on delivery. The covered carrier was $300 deposit then $1375 on delivery.
@@brucelaird3978 there is no such thing as “fixed pricing “ , you were somewhat fortunate if they actually got the units moved at what they quoted , no one can guarantee rates on the front end.
You also paid $500 in broker fees , compared to airRyd.com ($89 / open or $125 enclosed )
So to follow through on their particular prices, as always they have to over-quote basically every order by a descent margin.
Right now, your RDX could likely be moved on that lane for right around $700-900, so that one is fairly close
The enclosed one could likely move at $1100-1250 , so you overpaid on that one most likely, but if the carrier was top notch, then no issue there . Top notch would be a liftgate , 6 car enclosed Kentucky trailer , sundowner , featherlite , ATC, and a company with a long track record of success. You can check any trucking company’s profile here also : airRyd.com/trucking_companies.php . Most of your 2 car dually / wood trailer setups are fairly low quality and running illegally without numbers , but they still have active central accounts so many brokers will still send them loads .
Glad you had a good experience though , cheers, enjoy Nashville : )
Control freaks? They're called customers. You have a lot to learn about customer service. I had a job once that I didn't like; I quit that job in 1995. Had a 25 year career after that working in a field I enjoyed. What Im trying to stay, If you don't like your career choice, don't blame the customers.
Ngl if u quoted me 500 for the car ship then came back n said oh its gonna be 580 or we're gonna drop ur car off in the middle of nowhere, i would never use ur service ever again n give u zero stars. Try giving accurate quotes n do not exceed it. If u are constantly exceeding ur quoted then thats bad business n u need to start charging more.
Sounds like a bunch of pull. You give a price, you should honor the price that you give. Why do we have to deal with poor service?
Exactly! Why not get in touch with the company then give us a price
Right, this guy sounds so negative and miserable, prob needs a change in jobs
It’s not up to the brokers, AirRyd is the only company I found who was very transparent with me. I shipped my car a couple times and the rates change depending on the trucking demand on central dispatch. The rates that are given to me are never outrageously off from the original rate I got from AirRyd compared to other companies that wanted to charge me for random fees and up charges when they could have been honest from the beginning.
I’m not as concerned about timing I totally get the process and the fact that I’m one customer of several on this load out.
What I am more concerned about is making sure my car is properly secured and not damaged by the securing process etc. I’ve seen car frames bent by drivers over tightening or connecting to the wrong anchor point on a vehicle.
So let’s agree to this.
You don’t damage my car and I don’t give a damn how long it takes you to get it here within good reason.
They should only give the customer a app with gps that updates every 6 hrs and thats it.
Haha I had a sofa delivered and the furniture company sent me GPS tracking of the truck. Best experienced ever. And it spoiled me quite honestly 😅
I had a great experience with you guys, I feel like i was a bit of a control freak customer in regards to asking where the trucker was. (was first time shipping a car so I wasn't sure how really everything worked so sorry about that) couldn't recommend you guys enough though! Appreciate what you guys do
That’s good to hear buddy. Glad we could help out . And no we don’t recall anything crazy other then the normal. Lol 👌👌👍👍
I am now working with my second transport company. I am so frustrated because the 1st company after the contract was signed increased the price by $300 so I cancelled. The second company didn't pick up my vehicle on the scheduled date so I am disappointed. It's just expensive to the average person, we don't understand the process. I am being cordial but I am not sure I am making progress. We do need you to care please.
well, to be totally honest, the Transport rates are actually the lowest they’ve probably been in the last three or four years, they are so low most people driving, are barely cutting a profit, it’s very expensive to operate a semi truck running cross country , it costs thousands of dollars per month to keep them on the road.
But as far as the price changing, like you’re talking about above, the price never really changed it’s just that whoever quoted you initially did not quote the route correctly and you were looking for a cheap rate so you went with it, hoping it would pan out, but hope does not usually work out too well in this industry
I personally don’t care what driver is doing where he is stopping or eating BUT any reasonable person will be upset if you change the quoted price… you gave airline example… airline don’t change price once you buy ticket or change airport. You are asking people to just except whatever you say and don’t question. Good luck 👍 😂
Hmm well you can of course believe whatever you’d like, but our channel’s purpose is to inform people as to the realties of vehicle shipping in the USA.
This is not the airline industry so pointless to compare. Shipping a car is based on ever fluctuating prices , like the price of oil. And until a load is assigned and contracted out to a trucking company, the rate can only be estimated within say $70-150. Several factors are involved in pricing, including the client’s dates and overall demands, type of car or cars, the particular route, distance, pickup and drop locations (auction VS residence. vs dealer ) total distance, weather , supply of trucks VS demand in an area , list goes on and on.
But your free of course to believe whatever you’d like
I'm a broker and lost two clients because I told them the truth meanwhile the competitors lied to them, low-balled them and got their business. The two clients ended up paying more than I quoted them. Very frustrating. I even tried to explain to them how they were being low-balled. SMH.
What company you work for?
Bad customer service, GL in getting responses from them
This video cracks me up, people gotta hear it tho. I will be happy to reach out to you when I need to transport my trucks. Happy holidays ✌🏽.
Hi, do you guys ship vehicles that are not operating?
so are you just a broker?
Thanks for the video. I’d like to ship a car from NY to LA or San Diego in several months. For a 3 month old, nice car, do you have any suggestions? ? I’d like to get a quote from you.
Hey, I'm watching your videos on RUclips and I'm impressed, I was working as a broker before, Now I just wish I can start working again with you let me know if there is any opportunity for me by any chance & (I'm experienced).
Hi I don't know how this auto transport stuff works but I am a travel nurse I need to be in Wisconsin next week will leave my car behind at my apartment and requesting transport from Idaho to Wisconsin... Does somebody have to be at my apartment for them to pick it up and where can they deliver it I'm going to be working in a remote area the closest place is Minneapolis Minnesota or eau claire Wisconsin.. If I'm working the day they deliver it How does that work maybe it's too complicated for my situation please let me know
No ,that’s of no issue at all. What you’ll want to do is just hide the key to the car or leave with the apartment leasing office . We can coordinate having it loaded even if you are not at the origin location .
And once loaded that’s simply about a 2-4 day transport over to WI from ID.

What is a realistic price to pay for a running and driving 1979 Courier from Springfield, OR 97477 to La Jolla, CA 92037? Flexible on time. Tired of tons of random brokers hitting me with $400 to try and get me to sign a contract. No one is up front.
Only honest guy I found is with Mercury Auto Transport and he won’t give me an exact price, but said he’s looking for a truck to take it. Then said after I agree to terms and driver there is a $125 deposit.
I promise I’m not one of these folks but just a question on the process:
I have a car that is more so my weekend car that I want to get to OR from Charlotte from the Philly area.
Problem is, I don’t have a 2 day window on either side of the trip. It’s literally just a 4 day trip (including travel) JUST for driving the tail of the dragon in Tennessee.
Most likely I’d drive down and fly back. It’s a Friday to Monday situation where I HAVE to be back Monday night so I can’t miss a flight on Monday waiting for the truck to pick up. We are driving the tail Saturday or Sunday so I wouldn’t even be back to the pick up point until Monday morning in Charlotte.
How do people time it? Is it even possible? How do people just not worry about their 90k plus dream car? Lol.
What I hate is when the transport driver misses damage and I see it as a new car check in for a dealership and make me feel guilty for doing my job. I get charged just like they would if I also miss damage
How much to get a car ship from the bay area to akron ohio?
I need to ship a small vehicle from Alaska to Seattle, WA. Does anyone know of a good company?
Thank You for All that you are doing for our Planet Earth.... Peace.. Shalom.. Salam.. Namaste .. 🙏🏻 😊 🌈 ✌ 🌷 ☮ ❤🕊
Aye mane are you still in business? I’m trying to get a car shipped from Memphis to Portland
Did you find someone? , I'm looking to get car from Idaho to Wisconsin.. need to have a good reference 😊
Trying to get my car shipped from California to Tennessee in the next seven days. Who should I call? All these internet generated companies have the same pitch
We have our own shipping service ran by the same people on this YT channel , shoot us a text at 913-215-3113 or online at airRyd.com
I'm so glad you saved so many people the trouble of booking with you! You did great.
Your welcome : ) and we are doing very well thank you . Probably is another company out there somewhere who will be more then happy to tell you everything you want to hear .
@@AutoTransportForDummies... I mean honestly dude what do you think you offer here? You want people to cancel their flight because your incompetence of picking up a car! You want people to pick their car in the middle of nowhere because your incompetence of navigating round abouts... No dude! I have worked with vendors and contractors my entire life but i will never tolerate an arrogant individual like you who gets paid and acts like king of the world... Be humble! World does not revolve around you!
Great video, thanks! How far in advance do you recommend booking a car shipment?
What can I look to pay to get a truck from Los Angeles to Houston Texas?
probably in the neighborhood of $1000-1350 , depending on the type of truck. Trucks always take around 20-30% more to move then cars
Anyway you can also get a quote anytime from us online at airRyd.com
Ok
A year and a half ago you helped me out. This is a good video just leave it in your hands and wait it out. It’s the best way to do it.
We appreciate the kind words buddy
Love these videos and calling idiots who make the process more difficult. I’m in the mortgage biz and I get the same type of people who make it hell on themselves. Love your commentary and honest , it’s hilarious and soooooo true 😂
How much would it be to transport a car from Maryland to Illinois
Hey bro! I just saw your video about airyde. I’m looking to ship a car from Stockton california to Austin texas and got a fair quote compared to others.
I’ll be placing a request later on today.
For sure !
Let us know : ) also we can always double check the auto calculated rates - usually they are fairly accurate but not always .
how much did you pay
I don’t recall, with my rav 4 it was the cheapest price I was able to secure. They did a great job and they’ve serviced me twice already
Excellent advice. Thanks!
