Loved this reaction! Please, react to more bts videos! 😊 Bts has a lot of very cinematic MVs, full of symbolism and stuff, i think it might interest you. I'm sure there's a lot of recommendations already from other ppl, so I'm not adding any rn. As for this reaction, I really like your perspective of him being in a lucid dream, it fits the vibe of the album quite well. Also, one of the most popular interpretation for the girl scene is that she represent his feminine side, as it cuts to him in front of a mirror right in the next scene (and in the choreography he dances this part with a girl, making mirrored moves as if she's his reflection). Face is an album that focuses on his struggles and self reflections, so it would make sense for him to bring those introspective themes.
Appreciate you watching! I will 100% react to more BTS videos soon. I also love the theory of the girl representing his feminine side and having the following scene be himself looking in the mirror is beautiful and portrays the story in a creative way!

the girl is supposed to represent his reflection and that's why they don't really have a scene together. she's his feminine self. they stand opposite to each other, have similar features that make them look alike and mirror each other's movements in the club for that exact reason. the scene following the introduction of the girl is also jimin looking into the mirror singing "my reflection within the mirror" which reinforces this idea. the most popular explanation is that the girl represents jimin's feminine side and he discusses his inner conflict with expressing his femininity alongside his masculinity, instead of supressing that side of himself as he has admitted to in the past. the song is also a commentary on loneliness and the escapism used to cope with it.
Please don't believe her words Jimin explained the meaning of the song and it has nothing to do with feminine side 🙄 the song is about escaping his depression by going drinking but than when he comes back home alone the depression and loliness comes back to hunt him and than actually in his album right after like crazy there's a song called alone where he openly expressed his feelings and than set me free where he decided to set him self free from all those feelings
@@Elina-lm5qrthe song might not be about his feminine side, but the dancing definitely is. Artists tend to have double meanings in their songs, regardless if it's not common or not. If you have watched the dance practice to this song, you'd understand. The message builds up in the dance whereas the song displays the surface topic. Jimin has shown many times how he is not just fixated on being masculine, whether it be through photoshoots or more. The reason why he hasn't talked about it is because it's something that is frowned upon in Korea, so he conceals it. (Sorry for the long reply though)

♦Jimin mentioned that one of his fav movies “Like Crazy” inspired parts of the song aside from the title of song. In the beginning as well as ending to the song, he even samples excerpts from it. Jimin has also said that many of the songs on the album convey what he was going through, his thoughts, his feelings, his emotions as well as despair & depression, during the pandemic in the last few yrs. He also was hoping that many could help others by way of relating & going through similar difficulties during pandemic. So this song Like Crazy, could also be during that time, thinking back while laying his head down, on table in that depressing small room, dreaming of the better times in the past, when he was free to enjoy himself, as wel as being with someone or with friends, or even around ppl in general, being able to be free to go out & party. Which is why he even said in the lyrics please don’t wake me up from this dream. I want to stay here.. Maybe that was what all the dirty grimyness also represented, despair of situation, how he felt or how things were at that time, even when it seemed to even ooze into his dream state.

BTS are the most beautiful ,biggest group in the world. There is no one to touch them right now. Made up of 3 rappers and 4 singers (although those lines are blurred). Currently they are releasing solo projects as they all individually go off to do their National Service that they have to do in South Korea.
Their MVs are always outstanding. You might find “Arson” by JHope interesting . For full group try “Blood sweat and tears” or “FakeLove” for starters.
Someone else may have said ,the girl was his mirror image. An alternate side of himself.
Much has been said about this being about a love story because of Jimin using some dialogue from the “Like Crazy” movie, but BTS lyrics are always much deeper than face value. In interviews about this album he has talked about how sad and stuck he felt in the pandemic and how that informed the writing of these songs. I know you’re interested in the video but their lyrics are always interesting. 👍

Lmao there's a theory that girl is his reflection. Next scene is him facing a mirror after they look at each other. You see, Like Crazy is the title track of the album Face. And in it, it says: “Face, the reflection of myself in an unfamiliar appearance... Face of facing the deepest part of inner-self." Watch it again with the lyrics on and how the scenes are sequenced. The guy on his pants is Robert Mapplethorpe. You can do a quick google on that one.

Let's not limit BTS to just kpop please. Yes they're from Korea but not so much as part of the k-pop industry like all other groups are. They can sustain themselves without the whole industry and thats saying something.

i think the scene with the girl meant to be his reflection. like you said, the girl and jimin was doing the same thing until the point you see them across each other and the camera starts spinning in the way that it merged them together and cut to next scene where jimin is looking at himself in the mirror. so i think the girl was meant to be his reflection bcs the lyrics at that part says exactly that "my reflection in the mirror".

This is definitely the 80s! I don’t know what the significance of the 1996 t-shirt, but this isn’t 90s vibe. I was an 80s high schooler and 80s/90s young adult and I can tell you, the 90s was quite different…transitional. But this era was the BEST, MOST MAGICAL TIME, musically / culturally! I feel really fortunate that I got to experience it!! I’ve been at the most epic concerts of all time!!
You should watch the shoot sketch though; it’s awesome! That scene where he’s standing on the kissing couple is not green screen. They actually projected that scene on to floor and he stood/sat on it just as it looks in the mv. You have to see the dance choreo to this to understand where the girl fits in.

Nice, the video was very well done. Yeah BTS has amazing video and music production, I am down for more BTS music video reactions. 'Black Swan' and 'ON' official MVs are pretty good.
There actually was a scene with the girl but u missed it! The part where the camera spinned and u were debating whether it was a drone or a camera, that scene, they met in the middle and were staring at eachother(it's meant to me a mirror reflection in the music video, hence the mirror bathroom scene after)
Just for the record, BTS gets more streams the next 8 biggest kpop groups combined. They also have 74 Daesangs, 12 Billboard Music Awards, have won Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards, 5 Grammy nominations, and have literally danced to Butter with President Biden in the Oval Office. So it's fine to say they're the biggest. Like they're the biggest.

it wasn't "like" he was sitting on a screen. he was *actually* sitting on one. that wasn't a green screen. and I think he mentioned that what you called "inverted" shots is some kind of thermal filming. there is a behind the scenes of the MV if you ever want to check it out
Good catch! I wasn't too familiar with the thermal effect since I've never dabbled with it in after effects. It's called colorama to get that thermal look, pretty sure that's for detecting heat? They could have done that with a real thermal too like you said so I'm curious and gonna check the bts. Then inverting is flipping the colors in the clip 🙂
