Needed a break. It's been a record setting season for us, but at the expense of my sanity! haha Looking forward to the off season to make videos and get setup for next season in the new shop.
I was sold on coming in this weekend and picking out my Titan 10.5... until just now. This setup looks dope, and would save me time/hassle from doing all the add ons at al later time. I need to get in the shop and figure this out with a demo at the lake with you guys. I hope to be in there Saturday October 27th. Great vids and thank you for all the reviews you guys do. You really make getting educated on these yaks easier to nail down just what to expect and what’s going to be a better fit prior to even getting into the shop. that rig seems to be priced right, neat features and Dan I LOVE that transducer plate and scupper drain. cant wait for the on the water video. They have raised the BAR for sure.
Love the new seat! I may have bought a Lure 13.5 but couldn't get past the old seat with the low back. Really like the open deck. Don't care for the lights and battery box. The navigation lights aren't legal in Texas as well as other states. The new steering lever looks like it could get in the way or broken pretty easy. Bet it's a good seller.
Sweet looking boat. The color I’m not thrilled about. Looks like they used all their leftover cans of color and just mixed them in and this is what popped out.
As a Lure 11.5 owner, I'm looking fwd to the upcoming Dorado video. I've no need personally for a heavy peddle rig in the skinny water I fish, but do think the Dorado is a heck of a rig for those that will get full use of the features. 😎

Any chance you could get your hands on Riot Mako 10 with the impulse drive???... It will fit inside my SUV and has peddle drive for under 1000, so I'd like to know if it's crap or not. If it's as good as my tamarack angler but with peddles that'd be good enough for me .
It's a cheap kayak with a plastic drive that looks like it would break the first trip out. With that said I did reach out to them about reviewing it, and I'm waiting on a response. If it survived a hard review without breaking I may consider recommending it, because it is cheap. However I firmly believe you get what you pay for, and most of the Chinese pedal drives I've seen or worked on have been total garbage.

I'm loving my Tamarack angler, and If I could just get something as good as it with a reliable peddle drive and weight under 70lbs for under $1000, I'd be very satisfied. But other then this Riot I haven't seen anything like that, at least not that I could afford anytime soon... hopefully they cracked it, because I think a lot of people are looking for something to fill the same niche I am.

With a name like dorado I expected this to be more of a ocean kayak. Don't know how I would feel about punching thru waves with it. Looks nice for inside the bay tho. Also I thought navagation lights had to be different colors to tell the bow apart from the stern and the right/left side.
Gonna have to get CF numbers and registration from DMV. Even pedal boats are a gray area. The exception is for Paddle or Oar Powered. You may get away with not registering for a while, but it's coming. California wants your Money.

I'm sure it will be available as an upgrade. At this point 100% of the seats are going to Dorados, because the demand is so huge, but I'm sure once they get caught up they will be selling them seperate.
Kevin Black I’ve got a big fish and love it, but this has so many more features than the big fish. No pedal option, nothing prewired, less rod holders, no lights. I’m not down playing the big fish, I love it, but it is what it is.

No problem. I agree yaks like this are a niche market. They are designed for a specific customer. It's the Yak worlds version of a Bass Boat. Just like Jackson's Kayaks Kraken, is designed for a certain market.

Yes... Going to have to get a kayak. I get sea sick around diesel smell. But sometimes you can't fish from shore.

They are. Red on left green on right. You only need Nav lights if your under motor power.
Dorado is also a fresh water predatory fish from the Amazon...

what makes this better than the old town topwater pdl? $1000 less for old town and dont see the difference, old town seems more functional and simple.
I see it hold's a deep cycle battery behind the chair, and a lypo up front, then i take it the powered motor can run on ether battery right?
