Definitely NOT making any excuses for your ex but it sounds like he wasn't just "playing a video game," he was "raiding." Raiding in WoW requires dozens of people to commit together in a weird coworker/ family / cult relationship to collective bang their heads against bosses which require an obscene amount of time to successfully clear 😅. Given his Darth Vader "nooooo!" on night 1 (and his staying up til 8am), it sounds like he thought they were going to clear the boss that night but failed at the end and couldn't quite get back there.
Unfortunately, raiding has a way of taking over your mind and your commitments because you become more obligated to your guild members than your IRL relationships. It sounds like he started raiding after you moved back to your 'rents place which explains the change in behavior.
Again, he treated you like trash and the story got even WORSE omg, (he's married WTF?), but hopefully that gives context to why he was acting like irrationally on night 1 😅
It's the whispy blonde bangs flipping and flying thru the air for me on Po's character when she moves, that always cracks me the ef up 😂 😂 I can't

This story time was like listening to a mate telling me about their messed up ex - I literally said "oh babe!" out loud when Po described falling asleep crying after going to the NYE party alone. I think we can all relate to tolerating less than stellar behaviour in romantic relationships, especially in your teens and 20s.
At the risk of sounding like I have a parasocial relationship with a talking potato, I'm so proud of how you were able to freeze your ex out, once you realised that he was an absolute dog. Plus you didn't fall for the "let's go for a coffee" line when he clearly wanted to relive the spiciness and cheat on his current partners with you. That story was so relatable. I could feel myself going through those emotions of desperation with you. Feeling pathetic and everything.not feeling appreciated or valued. It sucks that you let yourself succumb to searching for that affection elsewhere and cheating (kinda but almost-the attempt was there). Getting out of those can be tough and I’ve been there where it was so hard to not reach out to the person who hurt you so much.

The worst feeling is waking up the next morning with a fresh broken heart and realizing it's real... Like the day of is horrible... BUT the morning after is worse... Like the first couple of seconds after u open ur eyes and and realize yes this is going on literally is a sickening feeling... Also similar to when somebody dies....

I think Derek wants his sisters to run Monique off. He won't just tell her he's not into her because she was there for him when he was locked up, but he doesn't really love her. He cares about her and appreciates what she's done for him which is why he's putting on this act. Your partner should never let their family think it's ok to disrespect you. He yells at Monique for getting with the sisters, but he lets them say whatever. To be fair, Derek has always had the power in this relationship, he just let Monique THINK she had power.
Also, are you sure your ex isn't a serial killer? Why would he have all of those folders of his exes organized on his laptop that is so weird... I wrote about your ex being a serial killer before I finished the video. He's definitely a sociopath. To just lie with no remorse is not normal. This is beyond pathological lying

I have some advice for anyone who has a similar experience to Po's. This is coming from my own experience with being cheated on and what I've learned from it. Don't hate yourself for the way you react when you find out or are suspecting cheating. It's an emotional roller-coaster. It's painful. In this moment you will possibly be angry, hurt, fearful, sad, disappointed, frustrated and more. Be loving towards yourself. You're not stupid for not knowing sooner. You are not silly for trusting your partner. You are not crazy for being angry or sad. Catch yourself in this moment. Find your inner strength. Remember that true love comes from within not from other people. Comfort yourself. The mistreatment you experience from other people does not define you. You will be better than okay if you choose to learn from the experience ❤️

Most times when people say a "friend" of the opposite sex randomly having relationship troubles and need a "shoulder to cry on" usually leads to cheating emotionally and or physically especially if they are putting that "friend" ahead of their partner. Why would this friend of his need to come over alone to his apartment so late in the night on a holiday??? Sounds like a hookup to me
