A friend played me Ogdens around 1996 when I was 16 and I was like what is this amazing new band and my mate was like 'Their from the 60's'. I will never forget this day as the Small Faces music changed my life. They have been described as the most perfect band England ever produced which I would agree with. For me it was the blend of their talents that did it.
Terry Reid even says Jimmy page came to Steve first for Zeppelin and Steve was in the middle recording Ogden’s so he referred his good friend Terry and Terry was touring so referred him to Robert Plant….and full circle Plant was a huge fan of Steve’s
I can't help but feel sorry for Frampton. Such a talented player, singer, and songwriter, but not even God Almighty could resist being blown off the stage by Steve Marriott. The entire band must often have felt superfluous when Steve opened up those cords. At what Steve did, he was clearly the greatest of all time, although defining exactly what that was, is up for debate.
I'm surprised no one has commented on this? Thanks for sharing

Steve "BADASS" Marriott! 1 of a kind!
Fabulous!!!
On my humble (pie) opinion Steve Marriott is the greatest male vocalist the UK has produced
IMO he is the greatest male vocalist the planet earth has produced
Steve Marriott singing Autumn Stone is hard to beat

An incredible talent.❤
Yes !
Not a believer in "the Greatest" of anything, but if I had to pick 3 - Steve Marriott, Terry Reid, Roky Erickson. In no particular order.
All down to personal taste. I have several favourite vocalists - Winwood, Daltrey, Rodgers to name a few. But for me Marriott is the man!!
