I don't know why people have been trolling this performance and their perceived chemistry on twitter. Yes, I kinda miss Gwen's music, but she is entitled to take a break and enjoy singing with her man. Blake has added a cool dimension to her life and in many ways given her such a unique out on where she was before (stuck with a cheating husband who betrayed her and left her with the children; and dealing with the humiliating media over a divorce). I love they are so in love. I love that he cares for her AND her children. He's like a big ol sloppy puppy dog who just wants to lay in the sun and roll in the grass; always by her side. She so deserves that kind of love ... however long it lasts.
Sorry, Gwen is not exactly country...she also seems to always want to look over the top - pretty? Which may highlight the fact she is a Plain Jane on a good day....maybe focus more on the talent...this song is very much today's country music...a little painful to listen to IMHO...

They’ve already overcome a lot just to be together and are thriving. Time will tell, but this one looks like forever to me.

That’s not what was said at all. This particular performance was off. It was the first time performing it together and a very emotional night. There are tons of videos here on RUclips of live performances by them of their 4 songs together and most of them sound great.

I am really not sure she is off key, but I would say that the melody she is supposed to sing does not fit super well with the main melody, could be better arranged. Gwen has hits in diverse genres on music-rock, punk, ska, reggae, hip hop, pop, dance, and now country. Her voice adapts to many genres well. Blake loves singing with his wife, and I’m sure they will do more together in the future. I don’t see Gwen ever doing solo country stuff though.

I think she started out an octave lower than she is in the original song. Where she started out in this performance, in the original recording her and Blake are singing together. She is an octave higher than him. Here she is in the octave he was in in the original recording. That's why she sounded so weird. She should have started out on the right octave to begin with.

All the touring, recording and singing through the year's has warn on their voices however it stills sounds good. Between singing, touring and lots of interviews wears on vocals. Also if ear monitors aren't good or sound engineer isn't good that can throw a singer off.
Oscar or grammy's performances in history doesn't have good sound engineering...they tend to present songs or music in its rawest n purest...i never seen n heard songs n music performed at grammy's record-like...n as a music lover , you tend to look n hear records in this platform n say " well that is really a good song"... if u want a record-like song performed...thats where artist do lipsynching...to enjoy good records you to appreciate these records when it is performed live when sound engineering works with all elements(mood, emotions, critics, audience, clothes n appearances) presents to them when performed...
