  • Hollywood suffered a tremendous loss on December 27, 2016, when Carrie Fisher passed away at just 60 years old. Fisher of course skyrocketed to fame as Princess Leia in the Star Wars movies, but she was equally acclaimed for her skills as a writer and Hollywood script doctor. She always seemed to know the right thing to say to make something just a little bit funnier.
Despite her famous family and public life from a young age, however, there still may be a lot you don’t know about the multi-faceted actress, writer, and advocate. Let’s take a look at the untold truth of Carrie Fisher.

I don't think a celebrity death has affected me as much as Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds' death added to that grief. So sad and unexpected. I've never been the biggest fan of her, but always admired her brutal honesty and humor. I don't think I've appreciated her as much until after her death.

Did you ever see her contributions to The Last Leg? If not, check them out. She was fucking hilarious! There's a tale of her and her dog - her dog go loose and wandered off into a nearby council estate ... and proceeding to have a shit in the street (the dog, not her ... although ... *has cold shower*) ... and so all these guys out having evening drinks in their front yards end up seeing Princess Leia stooping down to pick up dog-shit.

two very short segments from couple scenes still get me...
      *Hoth Base Tunnel*
Han: Afraid I was gonna leave without giving you a goodbye kiss?
Leia: I'd just as soon kiss a Wookiee.
Han: I can arrange that. You could use a good kiss.
      *Escape on the Falcon*
Han: No time to discuss this as a committee.
Leia: I am not a committee!

I saw Star Wars when it premiered in 1977. I was only eight and grew into my teens watching the first three films. I admired Carrie Fisher, and her openness with bipolar disorder was a great help when I was struck with severe depression in my mid twenties. I knew there was hope and treatment. When she passed, I felt like I lost a good friend even though I never met her. What a remarkable woman.

I feel like her becoming a Disney Princess will take away the tough side and instead, make her look like a' sing-song twirling in circles waiting for true love while animals sing around her' kind of princess. No hate on Disney princesses. I love disney and their classical princesses. but I just don't see her as one since Disney princesses are basically portrayed in such kind of an image. She's more of a warrior, if you ask me. Just my opinion :)

Sergey Melnik..fake news! Story came out of a norwegian radio talk show that claimed to have intervied Harrison Ford! They coincided their claim with her one year death anniversary and the new jedi release as a promotional! They never released proof of the alleged interview, and Ford denies any such inteview! Fisher has a daughter named Billie Lourd, and in Irene movie pics you clearly can see she doesn't have an adams apple! She was a beautiful woman and the fake troll farm is just perpetuating fake news! You guys are sick!

The Carrie Fisher story is a good example of fake news! Shes a beautiful woman and a mother, and its pretty awful to see something like this baseless claim!

Carrie Fisher shouldn't have strangled her own Bra. Hopefully they get a new actress for Princess Leia non Slave if there's a in future Star Wars movie they let a new actress wear bra under a costumes.

i knew she did script fixing for the originals and the squeals of star wars, i never heard she did the prequels. also there was way too much chunky dialog and some scene/plot points that needed to be fixed. if carrie worked on it, those things would've been fixed.

Sportalero yes, but that doesn't equate to "Untold". A very specific thing that is a complete lie. Calling it "Things You might not Know about ... " would have been more honest.

She was not supposed to be Luke's sister until after filming on the Return of the Jedi started.
The "other hope" Yoda refers to in part 2 was Luke's real sister, Nellith Skywalker, who had been placed in the other part of the galaxy and trained to be a Jedi from early childhood.
She was supposed to be introduced in the middle of the last movie and come save the day when Luke was being owned by the Emperor.
Sadly, Lukas had personal problems and the main storywriter left because of it, so they were left kind of stranded and had no idea how to introduce Nellith, and they then just stuffed Leia in her place (which made of course zero sense, but the fans were gullible enough to buy it so why not).

      @theturtlepwn 7 лет назад +2

IIRC george lucas actually intended luke's real sister to be introduced in later trilogies, but changed it when he realized that wasn't happening any time soon (or something like that)

@@Amphitera I dunno, for me it looks like it was for the best. Like, in the middle of the conclusion of a story pops up a character whose off-screen story is more interesting than the main character's, and this noname singlehandedly defeats the grand villain because she is better than the main characters. C'mon, it would be as if Padme Patel from Ravenclaw shot Voldemort with a gun while he and Harry Potter had their last stand. Oh, and then told Harry that she is his lost twin sister who was given into the wizard family.
I can't see why Leia being Luke's twin sister makes zero sense. If you mean that they do not look alike, then I'll tell you that not all twins have same appearance.

I wish that you hadn't referred to Carrie in your narrative, as 'Fisher', as if she was a criminal appearing at a court hearing. It is offensive to refer to women (or men) in this surnamed fashion especially in view of their recent deaths,. Please use the courtesy titles of Miss, Ms or Mrs as appropriate, to project some semblance of respect. Likewise, Debbie Reynolds should not be addressed as 'Reynolds' only. We are not dealing here with disposable commodities, but hopefully with a fitting tribute to much-loved screen favourites.
