you should listen to Loara 2009 at chino. The trumpet soloist played the solo by ear because he couldn't read music
He's OK, but if he's in the public school system I promise you he can read music! Maybe not sight read well but there is no doubt they put music in front of his face for that
They do stuff in the USA!
