    For turkey hunters who want a tighter choke, TruLock makes Extra Full and Turkey chokes that fit the Bobwhite G2. PPB12685 and PPB12675, respectively. The Extra Full patterns well but 7" off center point of aim. The Turkey patterns terrific and is dead on point of aim.

    * Double triggers are the only way to go if you're a bird hunter. Unless you do all your shooting over a pointing dog. If you hunt in the wide open spaces for birds that can appear at any distance at any time, double triggers are such a great advantage over the single trigger gun. Keep the single trigger guns for the clay targets. As far as someone getting their fingers pinched inside the trigger guard, all I can say is that there is something wrong with their trigger guard or they are sticking their finger to far in. The pad on the first joint of the trigger finger is all that should be in contact with the trigger. I suppose someone might have fingers so fat that it would cause a problem, but those folks are few and far between. I've heard people say that they can't work double triggers. That is a lame excuse. These are probably the same people that can't operate a pump action shotgun. Go to the trap range and shoot doubles until you have figured it out. Shouldn't take to long.
    It use to be that all double barreled guns came with double triggers, with an option for a single trigger. Now, because of the clay bird shooting crowd, single trigger guns rule the roost, and there is not an option for double triggers. Yet the gun companies market these single trigger guns as bird guns. They have forgotten what constitutes a real bird gun, especially when it is utilized by a real bird hunter. When you have two barrels with two different chokes, double triggers sure let's the hunter instantly choose the most appropriate choke for the the shot that is presented to him.

      @@oldmanthingspipes * Your welcome. One thing I forgot to mention is, if you put a cloth covering over your gun and then close the cover of your gun case, that cloth may attract moisture over time, causing rust to form. An oily rag, laid across or around the metal parts may be a solution. Keep in mind that moisture may also form in the way of condensation in that plastic gun case. I have always stored my guns outside of any type of case. I only use the gun case for transporting the firearm. One other point, when bring any cased firearm indoors from a cold environment, let the case and the firearm acclimate to the indoor temperature before you uncase the firearm. This will help keep condensation from forming on and in the firearm. I'd let that plastic case air out as well.

    Nice Review! I've been a double gun shooter and owner since I was a boy. I learned to shoot on doubles and I'm hooked for life! I have gained interest in these CZ Bobwhites, and I like the overall looks and design of them. I would like more figured wood, as opposed to solid grain patterns. Oh yeah! I just love double shotguns!!

  • @kenlansing1216
    @kenlansing1216 Год назад +3

    Unless your fingers are as thick as a Polish sausage maker's you shouldn't get them pinched between the triggers if you're using a double trigger the way it's meant to be used, i.e. using the index finger only for single shots, and just the tips of the fingers if firing both barrels at once.

    Well...the top rib explanation is plausible I guess. Do you see a line in the top rib about a half inch foreward of the action? I really dont know much about black chrome oversaturation and abrasion resistence. I'll have to take their word for it but know I will be giving the barrels frequent cleanings and if that finish comes off its going back to CZ. The loose fore grip is the most disappointing to me. They basically admit to a poor design and that I just have to deal with it.

  • @walterwright7896
    @walterwright7896 Год назад +2

    The pistol grip mostly helps with 12ga and heavy loads , gun control. The english grip for 20ga or 28ga free hand bird loads no buck shot /slugs.
