@@noname-tu2xw well am going to attend a film festival. i went for the interview, was confident in my answers. The interview was about 2 minutes. The VO asked my purpose of travel, why i wanted to attend the festival, how many people i have in my company coz i own a media production company and i told him i have 9 people (which i do) and he asked if i have any family in the u.s, i told him no and he approved my visa. He didnt ask for any documentation, just my passport.

My interview is on 1st march but i deferred my semester for Fall from Spring. I didn’t get date during spring time. Now the gap between 1st march interview to fall class start date going to affect my visa interview?
Reschedule dates showing August (Fall) dates that's why I didn’t take and decided to attend interview on 1st March. On top of that, during spring time I applied two times for expedite and refused. So I had no choice.

I am writing to inquire about the meaning of a visa denial receipt marked with 214B. Recently, a friend of mine attended two interviews for a B1/B2 visa but was rejected both times with this receipt. If possible, could you also advise on what my friend's options may be moving forward?

Also I will see NEw York and other tourist places. What should I focus on more when telling reason of my visit. Business or Tourism?

What about people who reside in a Third Country? I get why applying from a third country would need a higher bar of criteria to be satisfied... i.e. that consular officers are familiar with the issues of nationals who've lived their whole lives in the country in which the consular officer is based.. however, there are others from that country, eg India, as in your example, who may have left India to go live and work in a third country .. perhaps Europe, the Far East or even Mongolia for that matter. Are they expected to return to India to apply just because they are Indian nationals? I cannot see why this should be the case when the officers in India would not be familiar with the issues of Indians who do not live in India. Surely it should be a matter of where an applicant is resident?

I tried to book for an expedited appointment but seems my country don’t qualify for that and now am planning to apply to a third country (Senegal) am Gambian by nationality. Do I need to cancel that appointment or should I leave it there and go ahead and book another appointment in a third country? Does that make sense?
