I watched one of Dennis' episodes of coffee walk, and he talked about fans asking why he doesn't have his own TV show...I think Dennis should just keep doing it his way, because then he has total control instead of having to be a slave to a network.
I chaired the 1986 Austin Healey Conclave where Goldie was shown for the first time after the extensive restoration by Healey Surgeons. Bruce and Inan drove it in on stock wheels and put the gold wheels on it for display. Donald was in attendance, and was overjoyed to see the car again. It certainly was an exciting time for all Healey enthusiasts.
wow!! such an amazing show and the fact that you put it up onto your youtube channel for "ALL" of us to see is a testament to your character and appreciation of your fans!!!! for that I salute you!!! cheers!!!
Dennis just wanted to commend you and Kim on being great ambassadors for the US. Hey it didn't hurt that your bride is quite a looker. Excellent video, keep um coming
Thanks for the effort in the time to put this video together. Much respect for you They need to give you a show. The network's need to quit dragging their dam feet
He's better off doing his own thing. Unlike Richard Rawlings he can do whatever he wants as far as going to a racetrack and racing and driving cars and ding things that could might be considered dangerous. Richard is owned by the networks and can't do anything that could be dangerous. For our sake, it would be awesome for hom yo have his own show. But for him and his freedom, I would stay away from network contracts. Im not sure if that's why Dennis hasn't got his own show after watching what Richard has done, or if he's trying and it's the network's. In my opinion, it's better if he sticks to doing his own show without the network headaches.
So, what year was this and who won the two awards? In fact what was the name of this show? I didn't see it. This video ends very abruptly. "We come to the end and Goldie hasn't won an award". So that's it? She didn't win? I'd like to follow up on this. As I asked, what year was this and what was the name of this show? I want to see who won? and with what.
That car had fabulous history but it could never hold favour with the judge's. Now if you brought the car to the UK perhaps Goodwood? Of course everything is on hold as l write so take care and be safe. Dennis your good lady looked stunning, definitely more valuable!
Wow! The Austin-Healey was always my Holy Grail car when I was a teenager. I used to deliver the Lubbock, Texas newspaper every morning at 5:30 and one of the guys (older) drove an Austin-Healey while I drove a Triumph Herald! LOL. I thought back then that the A-H was the best of the best English sports cars. This was in like 1964 or 65.
@@willem2099 Because Dennis paid him to do a job. The job was done, it's Dennis's car. They know it's an award winning car and want a piece of the action. If they had sponsored Dennis, that would be different, but at this event I can not imagine that happening. I agree with your initial perception because I felt the same. After taking some time and watching the video again, I'm surprised Dennis was so calm and reserved with him. I would have wanted to give him a smack. For an event of this importance I think the detailer did himself more harm than good. Just my impartial opinion.
@@davestephen2432 But not everyone is a snob. Some people value the people and don't mind them being part of it and getting some well deserved credit. Wanting to smack people even... Wow
Not for nothing but at 6:17 the judge take his hand and places it on the corner of the windshield and leans his entire body weight on the car ! Then hes leaning over rubbing his glasses on the hood and leaning all over the side of the car !! If I were Dennis I woulda lost my mind
I have a question for you Dennis.. if a member of the royal family or a king or someone that is considered worthy of it asked you to sell Goldie for him.. ofcourse for the right amount of money.. the question is.. would you sell it ? I mean i know how much value this car holds to you and ive been following up on it since i first saw it in the early seasons episodes of fast and loud.. So would you ever consider selling it ?
Dennis, very Happy to see these vids finally ups such cool stuff. So you'll have to tell me the story some time>> at :48 sec in on Ep5 next to Goldie is a White ‘57 Chrysler Imperial 4 door…. Convertible! Gota hear the story on that one-off
I have a photo of this car taken in Niagara falls Canada at the 1989 Healey conclave. In the photo are the car, myself, Geoff Healey and 3rd Gentleman believe may be Gerry Coker
The Judge says “ has a engine , runs and drives ? “ Dennis replies “ yes it’s the original motor “ ? Come on what’s wrong with you people it’s an Internal Combustion Engine , Motors are electric !

This series is absolutely brilliant. Better than a lot of TV shows. Nice one Dennis. Doing a binge watch
Chris Harris was the same..brilliant films before he went to Top Gear

Kinda refreshing not seeing everyone covered in tattoos, wearing nose rings, and growing desert mullets. 👃🦴
Or wearing masks.

11:56 That judge with the bad comb-over needs slapped for resting his hand on the gold trim.
The gold and I’m pretty sure the whole car is clear coated. Also it’s a driver . Still I wouldn’t have touched it...
And for having an in tucked shirt

I cringed when the Detailer butted in. IMO, highly unprofessional and totally uncalled for.

That judge on the edge finger on the window 😠
The 300SLR was the personal road car of Ulenhaut's.
Tricky Ricky is one very slick guy!! The detailer were wearing his gas monkey shirts. You and your wife represent the USA very well.
The undriven SLR, nobody had a chance with that motor entered, cute "Goldie" has hundreds of unplated sisters, no chance at all........
